Save File not Updating

    Save File not Updating


    I have my xbox one S. I was playing Nfs Rivals on it, and then quit the game after playing for some time. And later went onto playing other games. Next day when I went back to play my Nfs, it didn't load the file from where I left off when I quit the game.
    Also, in COD ghost, it restarted my save profile after playing for a few days. I only have one xbox account on my console and I'm the only one who uses the console. Please assist.

    So my xbox is f**cked up...

    just would have to re-update xbox and reinstall games. saved files might be a loss but if you go offline you might be able to move any saved files to an external drive then move them back or just point to the external drive to load a saved file



    the latest update seemed to have fucked up watching cable. i cant really blame the update just yet but before the update cable worked fine, after update xbox unable to detect the hdmi cable to the cable box. so now i need to go get a new hdmi cable to see if it is the cable or the xbox

    People! Your save is not gone. You simply did not allow the game to update 100%. There is a bug in the system that allows you to start the game before the update is complete. But if you do start the game, is doesn't show any save file. If you allow
    it to complete the update, your save file will be there. That said, if you started a new game while it was updating, i can't say what would happen.

    Why won't my Xbox 360 play certain saved game files?

    Could be for a few reasons. The biggest one though is, if there are title updates to the game, some games don't bother updating your save files. For example, if the retail disc version of the game is v 1.0, and the latest update is 3.0, then your 1.0 save
    file won't be read or updated by the 3.0 version. Sometimes updates cause the game to only read saves from the last version. It's lazy, but it's the only way to keep file formats nice and tidy.

    Remove game update.

    Some DLC (most) will render a prior Game Save File inoperable if the DLC is not present. That is even if the DLC Content was not played, it will still be present on the Save File itself.

    The Update itself should not persist after the Cache has been cleared along with any possible File Saved to the HDD. Some new Games Write the Update to the HDD User Partition and not the Cache itself. Have you checked for any new
    Save File and what Game is it?

    Since the last update,you can delete your save file from HDD and Cloud,individualy.

    If you did it before the update,it might be save in the Cloud...

    Character progression lost

    I was worried about this, when I started updating and went to play and luckily saw that my save file said 0% progress so I backed out and played Peggle 2 until the download was 100%. After it was complete I went back in and the save file was good. I can
    only think that something in the update patches into the save file, but Capcom needs to give a warning if something like this is critical.
