Save Data Issue PC

Every time I have deleted and reinstalled the Outer Worlds, my save has always remained on my computer. Today I was feeling it and reinstalled it, expecting the save file to still work. After the start menu, I am greeted with no option to load the game from a save, but only to start a new save. When I looked at my Saved Games folder on my computer, the files remained. So how do I get the game to run w/ those saved game data? I tried running the game as an admin and I even repaired the game in my app settings!

I hope I made this clear as to what my issue is, I am not very techy.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums! After you reinstalled the game did you verify to make sure that the "saved games" location was the same as when you previously installed the game?

I think the issue on this is due to the save data. Since Xbox Live backs up the console data and makes it available on cloud for download it would be how he would get it on his PC. It sounds like his PC isn't getting the most recent version of the save
data from the cloud. Depending on your internet speed it could take a little while to sync a Minecraft world to the cloud. Try leaving the Xbox turned on for a little while and give it some time to fully sync. On the Xbox you can also use the menu button to
view the manage data and see user data as well as save data and make from there you will be able to see the most recent locally saved data and the most recent cloud data, if both of those are showing the same then at least you know its the proper save data
in the cloud. If all of that worked, he might need to see if he can redownload the synced data on the PC version, but if I had to guess the issue is likely on the data just waiting to be uploaded to the cloud from the Xbox.

Hey I had a look into your issue it seems the game has a actual save error and causes the game to crash it is cause by the save data corruption sadly it seems unless all save data is deleted the game wont work again and this issue is apparent across all
platforms and doesn't have a clear fix here is a link outlining the same issue on pc and they had to delete the save file entirely

In pc the data saves itself on your pc hard drive, but it also will save on your OneDrive storage, you should check there
