Satellite Receiver without function after disconnecting from Xbox

Now then,

I have a weird Problem. Since ages I'm watching TV via Xbox and after the first Probs with 50hz support (Germany) it's working very well.

But now I had to disconnect my receiver from the box had to go straight into my TV for several reasons. But my receiver won't start anymore. Not with the remote nor the buttons on the receiver itself.

When I put it back on the Xbox everything is fine. Remote is working aswell.

What's going on here? I need to use my hardware and don't want Microsoft to take over control of my receiver, forever!

I need help, urgently!

I've deleted the setup on the box before I disconnected my receiver, of coure.

A/V receiver to xbox?

Send the HDMI cable from your satellite box direct to the Xbox, then a cable from the Xbox out to the input on your receiver. Receiver to your tv - done!Click to expand...

I am sorry but what's a Satellite box? my current setup is a satellite receiver which is linked between the satellite dish and the TV only.

also the output of the receiver is an A/V cable, should I buy an A/v to HDMI converter?

Your receiver was assimilated by your Xbox

You really have a strange problem - try to check wireing again. Which receiver do you have? Try to disconnect hdmi and turn on your receiver with the on box buttons to make sure the receiver has power.

Xbox does nothing with your receiver and since it works on Xbox hdmi in the reciever is not broken.

Hope you get fixed this until tomorrow 18:00 CEST

Well, the Box did something to it. The Receiver is called "EasyOne Basic V2+" and can't do PVR without buying extra hardware(USB Stick with Software). Since it was setup in the Xbox it was able to do PVR.

Now idea how

Non of the Buttons are working , mate. Yesterday I found out how to do an hard reset on the receiver. It did start in recovery mode and downloaded the actual software(for 60Minutes!), restarted but no change. It starts straight into stand by mode and will
not turn on...

It's unbelivable....realy!

5,5hours till kick off and I'm at work now and can't do anything. But I will try later on your hint with removing the hdmi and start the receiver. Maybe that helps.

But do you want to do that every time you want to watch something? Nope, so back on xbox...

Pitty that none of the channels are setup correctly. Any chance to do that in one guide? The receiver has only got 99 favorite channels and most of the German channels are above 100....

To get the TV feature to function properly you need run the automatic setup and identify your cable service provider,
the manufacturer of your cable-box/satellite receiver, and also
make sure that there is no interference blocking the infrared signal between your Kinect 2.0 and your set-top box/receiver.

So for example in the automatic setup I entered:

My internet and cable service is Verizon Fios

My cable box receiver is made by Motorola

On my first attempt I couldn't get everything to function properly, even after I entered correct information, until I re-positioned my Kinect sensor.

Thanks for the reply but no, I’m looking for the function that when my Xbox is powered on it sends a signal to also turn on my cable box. There’s used to be an option for “cable box/satellite” on the device controls screen but now it only shows TV and audio receiver since the update last week. Wondering if this was removed permanently?
