Samsung TV's IR Code

I'm really thinking this is a remote code issue where the update caused a glitch where Kinect will not send a power toggle IR signal to certain Samsung remote codes. That's why some TVs are affected as well.

Partial blockage is the most likely answer. If it turns on the TV 1 of 4x it may depend on where you are standing. The IR blast from the Kinect bounces off you and turns on the TV. If you are using a custom cabinet that partially blocks the IR receiver that
is likely. If the Kinect is a bit hidden that could also be the root cause.

Be sure to check the same thing as recommended to Stembob. Also, try the auto config 'find it' during setup. Samsung tends to use the same IR codes for TV's (the generic IR codes should be fine for this (using auto)). Post back if this work or did not.

Yes, RCA is a huge company and they produce a great number of different model TV's. It is very likely they use the same IR code-set as they use in another model number TV (all major TV producers do that, Samsung uses the same IR code-set in a majority of
the TVs they produce). Just because the exact model of TV is not listed does not mean the Kinect does not have the correct code-set to match. Try using auto-configuration upon the entry of the TV model instead of the 'Enter it' option. Please give that a shot

Never mind, unplugging everything and plugging it back in worked somehow.

I'm having issues. I have a Samsung UE40H5000. All of a sudden when I try and use voice commands to vol up/down or mute the kinect picks up what I say, but does not apply the action. Same with getting the TV to turn off when the xbox turns off.

Any help would be appreciated.
