Samsung TV not supporting my Xbox 360's Input mode

Hey guys, I recently went to my girlfriend's house for the weekend, and brought along my Xbox 360 and television (It's small/ medium sized lol), and I had no problems playing games and watching movies, but once I returned home and connected everything back
up, all of the sudden my TV says "Mode Not Supported" when I select the input in which my Xbox 360 is connected to. Any solutions to this problem?

    :)

  2. New Xbox 360 S & HDMI

Okay, so I just replaced my older 360 for my first 360 S. The old 360 came with the HD AV cables that had the switch on the plug so you can set if for an HDTV. When I used this cable with my Samsung HDTV, the TV would automatically detect the input source,
and I was able to switch the input before the Xbox was turned on. Now that I have a 360 S and am finally using an HDMI cable, the TV doesn't detect an additional input source so I am unable to switch sources from "TV". However, if I turn on the Xbox first,
it appears to recognize the input as I am able to switch to the correct input after. So I guess the main question is: is that normal when using an HDMI cable? Do TV's not usually detect the HDMI input until after the source (Xbox) has been turned on?

You need to enable UHD colour on whatever input you have the Xbox one s. Its in the Samsung TV settings.

Sounds like the xbox is outputting a resolution not supported by the tv, try this

    Reset the console display settings

reset the display settings of your console. Here’s how:

Remove any discs from the disc tray.

    Turn off the console.

    Turn on the console.

Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn on the console by using the Guide button on the controller. Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller will have the upper-left light illuminated.

As the console starts, on the controller, press and hold Y while pulling the right trigger. The display settings are reset to the default settings, and then the console automatically restarts.

Try connecting it to another TV, and adjust the video output settings, and then once the settings are configured, connect it back to your original TV.

I'm still having trouble with my HDMI output. I can play with the original RGB cables but at a very low resolution. It seems a year later more and more 360's are experiencing the malfunction of HDMI output. Is there a way to reset it? The "hold Y and trigger"
    does not fix this.
