Samsung KS8500 4K Issue

I have a samsung ks8500 and the 4k settings are all red circled. This seems wrong? It says if there is a receiver between the tv and xbox to plug directly into the tv. This tv does not have actual HDMI plugs on it only on the receiver. Anyone know how to
get 4k and HDR to work?

Which Samsung do you have? I have the KS8500 and I don't have any issues with motion blur.

 

Xbox One S HDR Bug

Have the same Issue Samsung 4k.

 

For HDR to work the HDMI ports need to be 2.0a.

 

Have you tried all the ports as some TVs have at least one which is 2.0.

I think it would be best to try Samsung themselves.

But keep checking here someone might turn up with the answer I will keep looking.

 

Are you connecting an Xbox one if so it doesn't support 4K, you will need to change settings to 1080p.

 

You need to enable UHD colour on whatever input you have the Xbox one s. Its in the Samsung TV settings.

Hey, in order for 4K to work, all devices must have HDCP 2.2. 4k content makers use this software to protect its 4K content. The Xbox One S has HDCP 2.2 but your TV may not have it. Check in your manual or call samsung and ask them. I actually ran into
the same problem. I bought a 4K UHD HDR compatable denon a/v receiver. But for some reason it did not support HDCP 2.2. So now I have to directly connect the Xbox to my TV. My LG TV supports HDCP 2.2.

Yes if you are in the preview latest update messed it up they are working on a fix.
