Samsung (Televisions) HG40EA790MS: HDR ready? Yes HDR10 ready? No
November 7th was meant to be a good day for me. I even booked a day off work. Planned in advance and a few months ago purchased a Samsung series 6 4K HDR ready tv so that I would also be ready. Imagine how disappointed I was when the an HDR is active popped
up whilst loading to see everything go so so dark. I’ve tinkered for the last two days and still really unhappy. So much so that I will be returning my Xbox one x and sticking with the one. The problem lies with Xbox supporting HDR10 and mine as long as many
others I’m sure, will have the same issue. I thought ok keep it on Dynamic but games like FIFA and Assasins creed will change your screen image even if it still shows dynamic on your tv. Everything’s goes darker, misty and it’s horrible to feel that even with
your current HDR tv you are still unable to play a game how it’s not intended to be played. Forza 7 seems to not struggle with this and maintain some bright and vibrant colour so regardless of and picture mode. Please please help me. I want to keep it but
just can’t justify that spend for a darker image than my Xbox one. Any idvice would be most welcome.

    :)

Samsung (Televisions) HG40EA790MS: Xbox one X compatibility with TV's
I have the Samsung 58" version of this TV, & while it doesn't specify HDR10 on the packaging & information, my XBOX ONE X recognized it as HDR10 compatible. The console itself gives different terms that manufacturers use to indicate that their TVs employ
    HDR10. Hope this is useful!
