Samsung 6500 tv and xbox one X

Plugged in the new xbox one x and got the dreaded red crosses for a lot of the settings about TV compatibility except 4k.

Noted I could switch hdmi colour on for picture but only on hdmi port 1. Switch cable and xbox over ports and enabled the hdmi port. Rerun the check and get all green lights.

Just incase anyone else is struggling with this.

(I tried speaking to support of both Samsung and MS without any real answers)

    :)

    Any news

Still having issues with xbox one s playing dvd/bluray discs. Does anyone know when a patch will be released to fix this issue? I have a Samsung Curve 6500 Series UHD TV. I have spent hours on the phone with support and it plays hit or miss. It will
play sometimes and other times, not so. Hoping it is repaired soon.

  3. No Signal with Samsung TVs

I’ve always been able to switch the console between my Samsung KU6300 and a smaller, older 720p Samsung TV, both using HDMI for connection.

However, starting a few weeks ago with the Xbox One S, i started receiving a “no signal” when connecting to the older Samsung TV. But it worked fine with the newer 4K Samsung TV. Then I got the Xbox One X and the same thing still occurred; only worked on
    the newer Samsung TV.

Today, however, I was trying to troubleshoot the Xbox One X to the older tv again. And after several failed attempts, I switched back to the newer Samsung TV, and started receiving the same “no signal” issue.

One weird caveat to this is my PC connects to the older Samsung via HDMI just fine.

Before you ask, it is not a bad HDMI cord.

I’m in the preview program, so whatever the latest update is there is the software I’m using.

Any tips or troubleshooting techniques is greatly appreciated.

Yes unfortunately a lot of TV's even major brand names ones from Samsung (who are an MS Xbox partner) ship with 4K features disabled out of the box for crazy reasons.

It really shouldn't be this way, a game console and TV should have automatic configuration. TV's have become far too messy these days and require lots of changes in settings to be usable, don't forget to enable Samsung's game mode buried in another of it's
    sub menus somewhere.

Yeah I have the game mode set too. Had that for the original xbox.

There seems to be a lot more info on configuring (on the web) the tvs now they (the xbox one x) have been out a little while. The first Samsung rep I spoke to said it wasn't supported on my TV. Clearly wrong.

I have a high end gaming pc that runs games in 4k with high frame rates but the xbox one x looks (imho) just as stunning on the TV and cost a heck of a lot less!

Best TV to play with xbox

With my Xbox One X I personally prefer a Samsung TV. I got one at Wal Mart for $200. It was a 43 inch UHD 4K Smart TV. At first I was concerned with the size being too small but later I realized it's perfect! I recommend Samsung to anyone with a One X!

    Happy Gaming!
