same old 80072EFE error code

same old error code 80072EFE (for the one which we don't have) and yes I've tried all suggestions ... I think what the problem is live thinks we're downloading to an xbox one , which we're not and it doesn't recognise the 360 anymore so it cant download
profiles no more to the 360.

I've seen some posts saying that its fine on the xbox one but when they try the 360 it doesn't work.

so all we can hope for is too get everyone with the problem to phone and live chat .. keep bugging MS until they get a clear idea that their troubleshooting methods are not working and that its an error on their behalf.

now a little conspiracy theory here, they might want us to waste an extortionate amount of money and buy the xbox one, they're not going to fix the problem until we do.

im also getting the 80072EFE Error code 80072EFE is a error code for the xbox one ..... I don't have a xbox one!

My error is 80072efe but with exactly the same symptoms

 

ive just been told on chat that this has been fixed. now if it had been fixed i wouldnt be on live chat would i?

I will never buy an XBONE and the way its going i will just get rid of xbox 360 and nevr bother with it again

The only thing this "theory" (which I find ridiculous by the way) will make me do is make sure to never buy and/or support a Microsoft product anymore ever. Which might very well happen if they continue to outright ignore people's complaints like they've
been successfully doing for about a week now.

yep ... our connections are fine .... its ok for xbox one users, then they say they've tried the 360 it doesn't work.

theres something where it cant recognise the 360.

 

I got that same error...

I don't have an Xbox One, I just tried to download my profile to another Xbox 360 so I can play with my account on that Xbox. Now I can't do anything, because that stupid error shows up.

 

k I've just been through to live chat and they've issued a ticket , we've went troubleshooting again and when it got to the download profile it stopped and I told her it stopped with the error code 80072EFE , the issue is being sent to an Advocacy team to
fix it and I needed to give them serial numbers and console ID's so they can check what the problem is.

so best advice is to get through to livechat ASAP , do what they say then tell them it stops at profile download and tell them the error code. they will get in touch with you.

really? hmmmm ... we'll just have to wait .. they said they might put my profile onto USB and send it too a tech team to repair it then send it back onto my own console ... but to be honest all we can do is keep trying to get through to them , keep a note
of our issues and tickets and keep trying they'll eventually have to do something at one point ... since we're having the same problems we should keep in touch with eachother and provide updates on whats happening, we will get through this together.

 

I am French, this may be why.....
