    Same account is different on different PCs


    I've recently bought a new PC and signed in with my Microsoft account (same login details, password etc...) but my name on the account is different and I don't have access to anything in the Microsoft store that I bought on my previous PC (Minecraft for example). It's like having a new account on the new PC but with the same login as my account on the old PC. I've singed in and out on both PCs with the same details, but only the old PC shows my purchases. I can't even have the same gamer-tag on the new PC because it says my old one is already taken, even though it's only taken by the account I am currently signed in to. I can't figure this out...

    Hi Cav45, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    That's odd because you can only have one Xbox profile under one Microsoft account.

    On your old PC, please validate the domain that was used. If you're signed in on the Microsoft Store app, please launch the Microsoft Store and then click your profile icon, from there you will see your Microsoft credentials, make sure that it's the same domain (outlook.com, hotmail.com, gmail.com, yahoomail.com, etc.) that you're using on your new PC.

    There is something that we're missing. We just need to check it further.

    Would you please share your network connection test with the Xbox Live servers? Test using your main account, please:

    - On Windows 10, please go to Start > Search and click on Xbox Network.

    - On Windows 11, please open the Xbox Companion app > Settings (the gear icon) > Network.

    Please share a screenshot of the result. I'll be waiting.

    That's really odd. Since ping usually comes from the internet connection and should not be influenced by the account that is playing.

    This ping issue with your main account happens on all games or only specific ones?

    This issue always happened with your main account or did it start some time ago?

    Thanks for sharing this. Would you please disable IP v6 and reset your network settings to see how it goes?

    - Go to Start > Search and click on control panel.
    - Open Network and internet, then Network and sharing center.
    - Click Change adapter settings.
    - Right-click your connection and go to Properties.
    - Uncheck "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)".

    - Click on Start > Search for command prompt > Right click on it and select "Run as administrator";

    Run the commands below and press Enter after each one:

    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /flushdns
    ipconfig /renew

    netsh winsock reset all
    netsh winhttp reset proxy
    netsh int 6to4 reset all
    netsh int ip reset all
    netsh int ipv4 reset all
    netsh int ipv6 reset all
    netsh int httpstunnel reset all
    netsh int isatap reset all
    netsh int portproxy reset all
    netsh int tcp reset all
    netsh int teredo reset all

    net stop wuauserv
    net start wuauserv
    net stop TrustedInstaller
    net start TrustedInstaller

    Restart your computer and see how your ping is on your main account. Let me know about the results.
