Saints Row IV: Re-Elected & Gat Out of Hell

I picked this game up today and I have to say I am really enjoying it. It's a great change from games like Far Cry 4 and GTA V (Which are both amazing games), but Saints Row off the wall, over the top, and sometimes dumb gameplay is extremely fun. I owned
Saints Row 1, 2, and 3 on XBOX 360 but I never got around to getting 4. I am glad I didn't because now I have a game to enjoy and that feels relatively new to me. Within the first 30 minutes of the game there has been a handful of Easter Eggs/References.

The only downside is that this game took up 18+ GB and I am already at 71% of my bandwidth allowance.

Great game if you feel like having a few laughs and just messing around.

I purchased SR4 Re-elected & Gat Out of Hell on the 23/02/2016

Not a fan of the fourth game. It's fun but at the same time the super-powers dominate absolutely everything else. Weapons are vehicles become utterly useless about a third of the way through.

Gat Out of Hell is just pretty much a collection of the Activities from SR4, with a Hell based twist of course. Not worth it to me.

 

This came for me is is a goto game if another games been winding me up just jump in for a bit off over the top killing

Saints Row is for having fun.. not taking seriously.

 

Hmm, I might have to pick this up.

I've heard a lot of good things about it, and with the constant dark and serious games coming out, I think I need something dumb and fun to play.

 

I loved Saints Row 4 on 360. Clocked just over 20 hours getting all the vanilla achievements minus the 40 hour one for obvious reasons. Glad you're enjoying it. I loved the game but doing all that over again I think I'll pass. Gat out of hell looks meh too.
I would much rather have Saints Row 5. Maybe next year!

 

If you're looking for off the wall and laughs. You need to play sunset overdrive. Great game!

 

I don't fancy sunset overdrive its to similar to other games its crack down with gymnastics by the looks of things

 

I forgot how funny this game is.

There are some hilarious set pieces. The writing is top notch.

GTA used to take itself too seriously. Saints Row never tooik itself seriously enough. Sleeping Dogs found the perfect balance in between.

Saints Row IV is still great senseless fun though.

 

I love it. Re-elected is my third playthrough of SR4. Still just as fun as the first time to me.

 

Perfect late night game to chill with. Didnt play any of the DLC before either so its all good.

 

Hey does anyone know how to make my Dubstep Gun fire Dubstep?

The one they give me is firing Classical and when I go to upgrades I only have the option to swap to Big Band or Oktoberfest.

Is this because it's not technically unlocked in Story Mode yet but I've ended up with it early because they give you "all DLC"?

I miss my WUBs.

 

@Az yeh you need to unlock the dubstep gun for dubstep. The one given from the start is the dlc version.
