Saints row IV RE-Elected edition is coming to xbox one jan 27th



Saints Row 4: Re-Elected will be available on January 27, 2015, which also just so happens to be the release of the standalone expansion, Saints
Row: Gat Out of Hell, also announced today. It'll be available for $30, or as part of a bundle with Gat Out of Hell for $50.

Been a fan of Saints Row since the original came out...

Saints Row 2 just made me love the game even more.

Saints Row the Third has blown my mind with how crazy awesome fun this game is.

 

gta v or saint's row iv?

I plan on getting both, but GTAV takes precedence over Saints Row IV. I really dislike the direction that Saints Row is heading in, but as an old-school Saints Row fan, I have to play it. I'm honestly not expecting much out of it, personally. Saints Row
has become a joke since SR3.

 

Oh great, an underserving port. If you were to play the first game and then play 4, you would be like "there is no way this is the same series".

 

I absolutely loved SR 3. I will have to get some opinions and thoughts on 4 before buying it. I might just wait for a sale in the summer time. Also another remaster? This is starting to get ridiculous.

 

I enjoyed 1 and 2, 3 was solid... but the story and gameplay just started getting out of control. Then fighting an Alien called "Zinyak" and all of it was just a dream... tried pulling stuff from the Matrix... ugh. I will just stop there. I am sure it
was fun being a super hero, but my lord.

 

May have to check it out. however, the only port that will be a must buy for me is the Mass Effect series.

 

i'm almost kinda over these remakes. i get it .. you have to populate the consoles with something but why not something new ya know? and visually i wasn't impressed.

 

I agree vDEACON, although, I was happy about the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition.

 

@Deacon, they populate the console with these remakes hopefully to get some cash for their next game. I am still convinced both MS and Sony colluded with pubs/devs to not include B/C so they could do remasters. Because there is no money in B/C.

Saint's Row has become the video game poster child for "over the top" - it's soon to have competition in that category with Sunset Overdrive.

 

You are right there GG. But the issue I have with that is, it did not start that way. I loved the Original Saints Row. Good story, solid gameplay (San Andreas esque) and only a small touch of over the top. Sunset Overdrive, begins there.

 

I understand where you're coming from, Doc, but I don't think it's changed at all - at least in the sense that I think its developers have been desperate for a cash-grab from the get-go, 1st imitating 1 of the most popular game franchises ever (GTA) and
then just going to insane heights to get a "WTH" kind of reaction out of people.

 

Right on GG. You are right, in regards as the series progressed with the what the heck moments and gameplay.

As far as the imitating, I think that is fine as you are original with your ideas. As Saints Row 1 was.

As I posted above, if you were to have someone who never played any of them. Had them play 1 and then play 4. They would not believe they are the same series. Now that can be perceived 2 different ways. 1 it progressed and evolved. Or they abandoned
their roots, trying to get more sales (which THQ needed).
