Saints Row 4 & Gat Out Of Hell (XBOX ONE (I couldn't find an option to post about SR4 ...

I've had the game since its release in the UK (23rd January) and on my first time playing, there was a perpetual autosave logo which meant that i could not manually save and so all progress that i had made that day was lost as the autosave logo was not autosaving,
the next time I played, I had to start from scratch and make my character again as well as the 2 hours progress that i had made the previous day. I ensured that I made manual saves as I played and managed to rack up about 8.5 hours of play before i stopped,
made a final manual save and then turned my XBOX off, on the pause screen with Instant On turned on. This, however, appears to have been for nought as when I booted up the XBOX today, the game had been booted out to the menu because of a 'change in profile',
which had not occurred. Along side this the 'Continue' button that should have appeared above the 'Campaign' button was not there so I went on the 'Campaign' menu and selected 'Load Game'. The game then encountered an error where the music stopped playing
properly and the background animation stopped along with the rolling text at the bottom of the screen before the screen turned black. I have now tried getting the 'Load Game' menu to load 3 times, each time this same error has occurred. My XBOX is not connected
to XBOX Live because it won't as Live is having troubles with 'purchasing and downloading content', this may have something to do with the errors that I am encountering but the game has had 2 or 3 updates since its release (I think its had 2 but it might
be 3) so I would have thought that this problem would have been patched out, but it would appear that it has not (I haven't tried playing Gat Out Of Hell yet as I would like to finish the main campaign before starting on the expansion in case there are some
story links). I have tried searching for other people encountering this problem but so far my efforts have been fruitless so I was wondering if anyone else has encountered these same problems, and if they/you did how they solved their/your problem.

I purchased SR4 Re-elected & Gat Out of Hell on the 23/02/2016

The problem with XBL is 'purchase and content usage' and 'social and gaming'

 

I'm having a similar problem with the auto save not allowing manual saving or loading. I tried exiting the game, but upon trying to reload the game I get a message saying saving please don't turn off console.

 

Hi I had the same problem. Found doing a reboot worked. Hold the on button on conslle for 10 seconds and it dhould shut down properly. Then press start you should have the xbox logo (takes a couple mins).

 

I was having the same problem (crashing at the load game screen) and as previously mentioned, holding down the power button and rebooting worked. Thanks for the info, Fox.
