Saints Row 3 & THQ Account issues

Hi there,

I just wanted to throw this out there in case anyone has experienced this and doesn't know what to do.

Basically if you had a THQ account prior to logging into SR3 or the saints row website, you might have issues getting the game to recognise your password, even if it's logging in fine on the THQ website. The real kicker is because the game automatically
detects the account that's attached to your gamertag so you can't enter a different account name in the field.

So I went through a lot of different things, making a new account on the saints row website, resetting my password and nothing worked and to verify a new saints row account you need to verify it by either playing SRIV or download the inauguration station,
which isn't available in Australia so as you can imagine this whole situation was frustrating me to no end!

Turns out all you have to do is send a quick email to L:
*** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** with your THQ account name and the email that's associated with it and they will sync it all up so it works perfectly. They got back to me within an hour and had it fixed which was amazing,

Hope none of you have to go through it, but if you do hopefully this might save you some time.

So Live deal of the week is up now, its THQ sale, and there is still no METRO...WTF! Noticed there was not a "games" tab in the deal of the week yet, and the icon is for saints row 3, and nothing is in the deal yet about saint row 3...

I miss the days when you just popped a game in and played. No TOS. No e-mail address/password input for "special" deals. EA is the worst offenders of this.

 

I have to put my hand up and shamelessly admit the only reason I was going through all of this was for an achievement, which I picked to be one that could possibly be unattainable and I was close to being right!

Still haven't got the achievement though, I gave up last night even after it was fixed so I'll get it this afternoon.

 

From the States here: I did the inauguration station trick. Made & Deleted a THQ account, then signed up on SR.com. Said I was detected and I still couldn't sign-in in-game. Got the inauguration dealie (look in the demos) and finally got it to recognize
me and pop the achievement. However, I still cannot log into SR.com to look at my screenshots.

 

^If you email those guys they will fix that for you really quick mate! Afterwards I could log-in to the saints row website using my original THQ account which I was super happy about.

I was going to do the same thing with the inauguration station, but yeah unfortunately not available in my region. I actually emailed those guys in a last ditch effort not expecting any results, but was fixed within the hour. I was so amazed.
