Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. The filters will be in the router itself. You will need to either check the manual or the manufacturer for that information. The error you are getting when it says hardware problems, does it say there is
a problem with your wireless hardware? Also, what console are you trying to connect a 360 or Xbox one?

customer support and having an agent help you directly.

Usually when it comes to working with your modem/router, it would typically help to set it up as outlined in

Network ports used by Xbox Live on Xbox One or see if you can find a step by step guide on

If you cannot find instructions, it might behoove you to go ahead and try and get in contact with your internet service provider and see if they can help set up those protocols.
