Safe storage locations/ buying property

Will we be able to store our stuff anywhere safely when we have hit wieght limit or be able to buy a house?

Just wondering as crafting gear tends to end up weighing tons, when you aquire as much as I tend to.

How do you buy property ?? I have tried going to where the map shows property for sale, and I can't figure out how to buy them. Do you need to be so far into the story before you can buy property ?? Like I said, when I go to an area with property for sale,
I can't find it....

 

No news on property purchase yet but as far as storage goes you can store your stuff in the bank. You have to upgrade it and your inventory to aquire more slots however. One good thing though is a lot of materials stack quite highly in your bags (well over
a 20 stack limit of most mmos).

 

Then, I have a question. I had pitifully few health potions but I added them to a quickslot. When I looked I had 2 sip of health and 1 sip of health. They seemed identical so why didn't they stack? Have you any clue, Chemist?

 

Yea it's kind of silly they are called the same thing but if you look closely at the properties they might have slightly different heal over time effects or instant heals and so they are separated into a different stacks. Even though they are pretty much
the same thing...

 

I have never played an MMO so did not know how storage of surplus gear works. Good to know you can store your extra stuff. (I seem to remember from the Oblivion forum that there there are folk out there that collect some random/ weird stuff and that will
probably be the same in this game!!)

Just means that I can store all myalchemy gear. Hope the bank appears in several towns/ cities and that you can access all your stuff wher ever you are .

 

I found the bank in Bleakrock this morning but didn't have near enough gold to buy it. It was 1000 coins and I was in the starter zone freshly arrived from being dead. Even though Lyris teased me for killing Flame Atronachs you don't get much gold off of
them.

I would come back there and help you Lady B but it won't let me back to Bleakrock anymore. I wanted to go back to get a skyshard I missed but doesn't look like you can get there. Wait until you get to Stonefalls before you get a bank. There is
one at Davon's Watch.

There's a skyshard in Bleakrock? Is there one in each starting zone?

Thank you. I don't mind spoilers and unlike some I'm just fine with maps for finding things I need to find especially in areas I won't be able to revisit (at least until June). I get so lost sometimes I could walk right past one and miss it.

 

I'm not liking the "Economy" very much. You have fixed storage, and upgrades to you personal and "Bank" storage. You start out with some free bank space but everything after the first upgrade is?, well something I'll have to learn to live with. I'll be playing
it a long time so I'll make it work for me. As afr as Skyshards go, I know there are at least 3 in Bleakrock. Their the easy way to get a skill point. I was thinking today and doing a bit of head math with skill sets and such. You better be careful and make
sure you want it, cause once it's done, it's done. I just can't imagine them putting property rights in an online MMORPG. Maybe private guild banks or something might work out, Think about it this way, in Skyrim MMO your out exploring all the time or running
quests. I'm out picking your lock and taking all your loot. Hahaha!Not me personally, but there are some out there that would get a kick out of it. It's just a game.

So The head math went like this, 50 levels and approximately 4-5 skill points each. Best I could figure I'm going to need about 20 of those to get my "Nord Armor" skills up to my liking. That's just one set of Smithing skills. I'm not seeing it yet but I
haven't really made any of the other armors or weapons. There's a whole other skill set hiding somewhere if I want to make some Elven or Redguard weapons and armor.

 

There is free bank space? I'll have to look again since I was sure I had a choice of pay or walk. I do know that I can't afford any armor. My elf is at level 5 (yes, I know, I wasted a lot of time) and she's still wearing the pants she was wearing when she
was dead. How icky is that? She found a nice robe (and I like that robes count as armor) and got a decent bow as a reward but for new clothes, all she could afford was a pair of boots. I don't have enough lockpicks to even begin to get a good feel for the
lockpick game. I also have to get used to the idea that I must be sure I'm safe before I go into any menus since enemies can still attack and do. I still haven't figured out crafting though I thought I would try that today with the Dunmer since she actually
has some materials.

 

I have done pretty much every quest available on Ebonheart Pact now and am just about at the level cap for this beta. I am just crafting and farming chests now.

I have had no difficulties farming materials in any of the areas here. Stonefalls especially
is quite a large zone and has a lot of places to explore.

Quite happy with my decision to play an Argonian and the Ebonheart Pact.
