Ryse wont install to 100%

Okay so I picked up Ryse earlier today and have had nothing but problems all day trying to install it to my Xbox the game keeps getting stuck at a certain number and wont go past it. ive tried the solutions listed here in the Xbox.com FAQ but even that doesnt
work, the game is stuck at 97% and will not go higher than that. the disc isnt scratched or damaged and my internal and External HDD have plenty of space for the game as well. and even though it says ready to play if I try to play it, the game crashes back

The only thing I might try would be (yes this will take FOREVER!!) uninstall the game, unplug internet, reinstall the game , plug in internet, see if it will update.

So, that's the only thing that don't work?......you can connect to xbox live or Netflix and stuff?.......if so , I guess its a problem with the game server.....

 

Sorry to hear it. Can you please try powercycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps?

If it does not then you should be able to install the full game by disconnecting your console from the internet.

 

I had tried both of those solutions, I did the no internet solution twice and both times it stuck at 97% and wouldnt go anywhere. I had the console unplugged all night and now it seems like the game is at 100% but if I try to boot it my system crashes and
beyond that I cant acces the "My Games & Apps" section now

 

Go into setting/disc blu-ray choose persistent storage hit clear persistent storage do it about 3 times, see if that helps with the install.

 

im so fed up with this, over 48 hours have passed now since I got the game, its still not 100% installed and doesnt look like it ever will be. ive tried both solutions here neither of them work. not even sure its worth the time or frustration to continue
trying to get this crap working properly, its really annoying to know that I bought a glorified frisby at this point

 

alright so its not even just Ryse anymore its also Shadow Of Mordor, I cant even get it to go past 6%

the hard reset isnt working properly or maybe it is but should it be taking me a completely black screen after the green one and just staying there for an eternity?

 

I don't like suggesting a factory reset but it could be the only option, you can remove the external HDD so any games on there will be safe,Also once you have your console settings setup try installing the game to your internal drive before you plug your
external drive in.

 

is it possible that Ryse is a faulty disc? Shadow Of Mordor installed just fine on the 2nd attempt but Ryse still wont install

 

Yes that could be the problem its a pity they don't allow you to try the digital version once they know you have the disc maybe that could happen sometime.
