Ryse: Son of Rome: Can't start campaign

I am able to install Ryse: Son of Rome fine. When I click on to start a campaign, it gets about 75-80% done and then stops installation. I have tried cleaning the disk but that doesn't help. I have tried installing without xbox live connection and that
does nothing as well. I am able to install other games without any issue. Please Help.

My appologies, I guess the game wasn't down installign and I just saw the start the game. I stopped the installation and tried the installation without starting the game and I am still having the same problem.

 

I had the same issue, because the patch download wasn't finished. I waited a further hour and it worked.

 

I didn't have the Xbox connected to Xbox Live so there shouldn't have been a patch to download. The machine says that the installation stops, and all the three times I have done it, It hasn't got past the same part. I let it sit for over 2 hours and every
time I checked on it it just kept popping up saying that the installation has stopped.

 

Hey there zweifel! Are you still seeing this issue?

If so, I suggest giving these steps a shot:

• Remove the game from your disc drive.
• Go to My Games and Apps.
• Find Ryse: Son of Rome.
• Press the Menu button.
• Select to uninstall the game.
• Once the game has finished uninstalling, press and hold the power button on the console for 5-10 seconds until the console powers off.
  
• Leave the console off for 3 minutes.
• Power the console on.
• Make sure you're connected to Xbox Live.
• Install Ryse. Let the game completely install (100%) before trying to play it.
  

Let us know how those steps work for you! If it continues to give you issues, you can try the exact steps again but while being disconnected from Xbox Live.

I'm having the same issues. Aren't we supposed to begin playing before the whole game installs? It's been installing for about 5 hours...going to go to sleep and hopefully by the time I get back from work it's up and running.

 

Got my first Xb1 on Monday, it went back on Tuesday due to a faulty disc drive.

Got the 2nd unit home and had to wait 2 hrs for the updates to install and then a further 1 hr for COD to install.

Despite all this and despite my instincts not to, I placed my faith in MS and have today shelled out £52.99 for RYSE.

Now it WONT PLAY AT ALL!!

Help please guys, i'm a little broken by it all!

Ryse install issues:

I purchased a copy today, (25.04.14) and began the install.

Initial install worked fine and was left alone until 92%, at which point I tried to play it, as it stated I could do so.

All worked fine until clicking on the 'Start new Campaign'. It allowed me to choose a difficulty and......

That's as far as I got.

It showed a further 'Installing' message screen with a spinning eagle icon in the center and a red bar at the bottom.

The red bar was 3/4 filled but was not moving.

Being new to the Xb1, I just assumed that, as 'Games and apps' said it was still installing the last 8% that it would sort itself once complete.

Nope.

Once at 100% and no longer showing as an active install / download I tried again to play.

The exact same screen re-appeared and has been left for 2+ hours now, WITH NO CHANGE.

The red bar is still 3/4 full and not moving.

 

I've got the same issue as the chap above- it says Ryse has finished installing but when I go to play the game I get a further installing message described above. What's the point of that?? I can't play the damn thing now.

 

I've been having the same problem, the installation is done, I press play and start up the game but after I choose the difficulty I am stuck on this really slow installation screen. Its been several hours and it still hasn't finished, is this the update?
At the very least it should update while I am playing the damn game, after all, the game should have been installed already...

 

has anyone else had this issue with ryse and apart from the official support does anyone else have a solution to this problem of freezing on install at 75% and the game is 100%installed on my console

 

If you have the red bar just do reboot hold console button 8 seconds unplug from mains 30 seconds power back up this worked for me

 

Thanks for the quick information Cede Nullis, it helped with the issues I was having with Ryse after it installed and now it is working fine. Better than have to uninstall and re-install the game to have the same thing happen. To anyone having issues with
the red bar install on the physical game itself and it freezing at almost 75% then close the game, take the disc out, turn off your XBOX ONE, and then disconnect it from the power supply for a few seconds (this cuts off the internet). Plug the power supply
back into the console and turn it back on. Insert the disc for the game and it should work properly. It needs a restart like it was a computer, which should not be the case and Microsoft should apply a patch to fix that.

Is absolutely right followed theses steps:

I also took the game out before shut down , to stop running the game in the background.

Fired it up and worked just fine.

Before Restarted I:

1. Did run game before complete install.

2. Waited then for game to reach 100% bout 1 and a half hours.
