Ryse: Legendary Edition

So I saw the writeup on Major Nelson's blogsite (linkage here) for the Legendary edition of Ryse, one of the Xbox One launch titles. It's now bundled
with all the original Season Pass materials, some more brand-new stuff, and is priced to go at $49.99 on the Xbox store. Details in the linked post, etc. It's also available as a disc from Amazon (and presumably other retailers). Sounds pretty good, so far.


Is this a common occurrence for older games which come with Season Pass or DLC content? Or do only some of them get a special re-bundled re-release?

Anyone else considering Ryse again, this time with all the extra goodies thrown?

In any event, I'm adding it to my Black Friday shopping list (to save a few extra bucks) while I chip away at my gaming backlog. Oops.

I'm still on the Xbox One boat for the future and Ryse being one of the main reasons why so this is really good news for those waiting like me. If they ever release a Ryse special edition console i'm sold lol

 

OP it is very common for games to be re-bundled with all their downloadable content and are usually dubbed 'Game of the Year Edition' or 'GOTY Edition' even if they weren't the game of the year (funny enough).

I would highly suggest to this anyone who hasn't played it, I've already got and played the DLC, but as someone said in another thread, apparently you only need a friend with the DLC installed and if they invite you, you can both play on the maps anyway.
Still, this is good value!

Was a great game, loved the campaign.

Multiplayer was fun for a while too. Just not a whole lot to do after you've played through it though.

Im sure the extra goodies would make it last longer though.

 

I agree. It was a lot of fun playing the campaign, especially on the harder difficulties. The multiplayer wasn't bad, but grinding to level 200, I just couldn't do that.

I want this edition. When ever I have company over to my house I show this game and their jaws drop in amazment. Plus I personally enjoy the game.

 

So is the dlc multiplayer only or is there some story dlc?

 

Great Deal for sure. A lot of playability in the Co Op Gladiator Mode

 

The DLC is only multiplayer stuff. It has some different game modes, maps & skins.

 

Ah, cool. Thanks for the infos. I saw Dead Rising has an Apocalypse edition now, as well.

Hopefully online numbers will bump up some for Legendary Ryse release, at any rate, if that's what the DLC focused on.
