Ryse DLC Won't Stay Installed

Title says it all. Ever since the August update, two pieces of DLC are behaving mutually exclusive to each other. The two are the "Marius Gladiator Skin" and the "Glott Gladiator Skin" If I install one, the other uninstalls all by itself. If I install the
other, the first one uninstalls by itself. All I can do is take turns installing each one and every single time the other is uninstalled by itself.

I have tried uninstalling everything for Ryse, moving between storage devices, power cycling, etc. I have noticed, however, that when I view the DLC in the new UI some of the items have a black background and some of them have a gray background. I have no
idea what this means so I have no way of knowing if it has anything to do with my issue. I have absolutely idea what the problem is nor can I think or anything else to try. I can not find anything about this issue anywhere online so apparently it's just me.


Any help would be appreciated.

Season Pass Ryse: Son of Rome don't work!

Ryse: Son of Rome" on the XBOX
ONE store and did not get anything,
just installed the DLC but have not received
anything in the game. And now what do I do?

 

Do you only use your profile on this individual Xbox one and no other Xbox one?

 

No, I have two Xbox One systems. However, I almost never use the other one as it's mostly for guests. On the guest system, I don't have this issue and all of the DLC remains installed just fine.

Sorry to hear about the issue. I see that you mention you've already tried removing/reinstalling the game and power cycling your Xbox One console. Let's try those again in this order:

• Remove the game Ryse and all related DLC from your Xbox One
  
• Remove another game that works (Remember all your save data is stored to the cloud)
  
• Power Cycle your console
  
• Install the second game first
• Install Ryse and all DLC second

If that doesn't work, I would recommend attempting to
Factory Restore your Xbox One. Please use the "Keep my games and apps" option.

Keep us posted if those don't work so we can try something else!

 

I'm having the exact same issue. The same two pieces of DLC behaving in the same way. I'm assuming others have the same issue and may not have noticed.

I have been through the steps suggested by Miss Bijoux, sans the factory reset. No change.

I only have one console, and it is registered in the preview program. I have the Day 1 disc version of the game and the season pass.

 

I have also tried the suggestion of deleting another unrelated game and it had no effect on trying to get these two pieces of DLC to stay installed.

I am not on the pre-view dashboard but I do have the Day One version on disc; as well as the season pass.

Not sure what else to try.

Thanks for the update. I know it's far less than ideal but can you guys please give that factory reset a shot? Make sure you choose the 'Keep my games and apps' option.

Same issue, I can confirm removal and re-installation was ineffective: other game selected for this troubleshooting (Gears of War 4) was successfully re-installed with all add-ons. Factory reset with 'keep games and apps' also failed to work.

My console is an Xbox One Elite, running latest updates as of 6/9/2017: zero hardware modifications.

 

Further troubleshooting after re-installation shows that Marius and Glott are still able to be selected, so long as their corresponding 'pack' is installed (Duel of Fates Pack). This has had no discernible impact on the ability to select them, so I proceeded
to uninstall the individual skins for Oswald and Legionnaire as well (leaving the 'Morituri Pack' and 'Mars' Chosen Pack' installed, respectively): same results with selectable characters. This separation of skin and pack does not exist with items such as
the 'Colosseum Pack' or 'Legendary Edition Bonus Bundle'.

It appears this is an issue with content having redundant listings in user queues, possibly due to how the items were listed in the digital storefront. I personally acquired all of this through the redeemable voucher in the physical, Legendary Edition of
the game, so if the issue is different for those purchasing piecemeal without a season pass or the purely digital edition of the game, I cannot vouch for their uniquely different results. Downloadable items not contained within the Legendary Edition were not
tested.

Issue hopefully resolved.
