Ryse: Cannot progress

hi

I am only on the second level on the way to the forum and the game won't progress

i've run up some steps, and it tells me to perform an upgrade. I've done all the upgrades I can afford with valor, but when I return to the game, it won't remove the prompt and resume the game

I've even restarted the level. very fed up after spending £50 on a game and it won't play

furthermore, i cannot progress normally in Ryse MP now, it took 50,000 XP to go from rank 0 to 1, about the amount I would have expected it to take to get from 139 to 140.

 

Problem with Achievements either glitched or not updated properly on Xbox One.

Another problem. I checked my Achievements for Battlefield 4 and Ryse: Son of Rome.

BF 4 - 28% and Ryse: Son of Rome - 85%

But in my Recent Activity and compare friends Achievements show as

BF 4 - 42% and Ryse: Son of Rome - 0%

Checked my other friend who played Ryse last few days with me so checked his achievements now so show as 100% and my show as 0% Progress.

This is biggest problems with Progress. Please help.

 

It's the SPQR level and I am 84% complete, so this is frustrating

Uk- Not sure what the issue is, but luckily your not very far in the game at all. Sounds like maybe there is a corrupt file. So after you are done upgrading an ability and you hit the button on the controller to return to the game its just frozen at that
prompt?

You may need to uninstall and re-install the game- not optimal at all, but it doesn't take too long to allow you to play SP.

I would, uninstall the game then power cycle the unit
support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console.

Your game save will be in the cloud, I would try it after re-installing, if that didn't work, then I would go to the management of the game (highlight game with stick and select button and choose mange) and go over to the icon of your profile and delete
the game save.

In addition I would post this bug at the Crytek Forums

Again, just some ideas as I haven't seen this issue before. Ryse ran very well for me.

I have reinstalled at the weekend but not had the chance to play yet to be quite honest.

I did try playing the game from the start again but it didn't make a difference. Also the xbox shuts down each time. I don't use the xbox on stuff

 

It prompts to apply and upgrade, and I have already done this.

The prompt won't leave the screen even though I can return to the upgrades screen etc.

 

uk- Ok you mentioned something that makes me think about a few other things. when you say the Xbox One shuts down- are you saying it completely turns off?

If so a few more questions: Is the Xbox One plugged directly into a outlet? If I may assume are you in the UK? if so are you using an official UK machine, or a US machine? I just want to be sure you are using an official MS power supply and not a 3rd
party.

If the unit is turning off and its an official power supply I would recommend you contact MS to start a service order.

No, by shut down I mean I don't have it on quickstart

It is an official day one machine.

Maybe what I will do is unplug from the router so I don't get a cloud save and start again

 

With the newest update, you are now able to delete your game saves completely. Go into your games and apps, select Ryse, click the view button, and manage the game.

 

Yeh, I have erased it and reinstalled.
