Running Series X thru new receiver to TV. Errors galore on “4K TV Details” settings

Just bought a new Sony Dolby Atmos receiver and I’m running all my devices through it (Series X, Apple TV, Cable box) and then a single HDMI cable to the Vizio 4K tv ARC input. Checked my 4K setting on the xbox and only the first line is Green checked. See
    photo.

Also, on that 4K Details screen, in the left corner is says something about a receiver possibly affecting the results. So am I actually getting all of those settings and just the receiver is causing them not to be Green checked or will things like HDR really
    not be working?

    Whats fix here?

    XBOX 4K to receiver

The link didn't help, doesn't address the receiver issue. If I have to get a new receiver that supports HDCP 2.2 I'll look into that. It's about $1100 minimum for a decent receiver and was trying to avoid that.

Is the XBOX one able to see a 4K HDR TV while passing through a new receiver that is 4k HDCP 2.2 compliant? Or is this an issue with any receiver?

Or put another way: Can the Xbox One X hand shake a 4K HDR TV going through a receiver? If so what am I looking for in a new receiver to allow that? Or will the receiver that's 4K HDCP
2.2 compliant actually hand shake the XBOX allowing 4K output?

I get this error when going through receiver: 4K is supported by your TV, but not at 60Hz. You won't be able to upscale to 4K, but, depending on your TV, you may still be able to play some 4K and HDR
content. To see what your TV supports, choose 4K TV details. Then xbox only out puts in 1080p

TV is capable of 4k 60hz same time but in display setting only showing 4k no hz

Error when selecting the 4K UHD resolution on Xbox One X and Xbox One S

You receive the following error message when you choose 4K UHD in display settings:

    That didn't work

4K is supported by your TV, but not at 60Hz. You won't be able to upscale to 4K, but, depending on your TV, you may still be able to play some 4K and HDR content. To see what your TV supports, choose 4K TV details.

This error occurs when the console detects that your TV supports 4K, but doesn't support a 60 Hz refresh rate. You may still be able to play 4K content at other refresh rates, but you won't be able to upscale the system, games, and apps to 4K.

    Solution

To determine what your TV is telling the console about its 4K capabilities, see

Checking your TV's 4K and HDR capabilities on Xbox One X and Xbox One S
. Use the 4K TV details screen to see what changes as you try different things:

    • Make sure your HDMI cable is plugged into the correct port on your TV. Some 4K TVs only support their full set of 4K features on specific HDMI ports. See your TV manual to determine if there are special 4K HDMI ports, or try different ports on your TV.
    • Check your TV's settings menu. Your TV might have a special mode that controls your TV's refresh rates. See your TV manual to determine if you need to change your TV's settings.
    • Make sure you're using the HDMI cable that was included with the Xbox One X and Xbox One S.
    • Try a different HDMI cable. Your cables must be HDMI High Speed or HDMI Premium certified.
    • Plug your TV straight into your console with the HDMI cable that was included with the Xbox One X and Xbox One S. Some AV receivers or other video equipment may not correctly pass the signal to your TV or console. Also, you'll need to use HDMI High Speed
or HDMI Premium certified cables between both the console and receiver, and the receiver and TV.
Unfortunately, some TVs don't support 4K at 60Hz. See your TV manual to make sure.

hdr 120hz 1080 on my series s with the lenovo y25-25?

From the Xbox dashboard head to 'Settings'. This can be done one of two ways, however, the quickest is to hit the Xbox guide button, navigate to the tab with your profile picture, and select ‘Settings’. From here, you’ll want to click on ‘TV & display options’.

In this sub-menu you should see the option for ‘Refresh rate’ underneath ‘Resolution’. If you have an 120Hz display, you should see the option to select either 60Hz or 120Hz from the drop down. You can double check your Xbox Series X or S is outputting at 120Hz by clicking on ‘4K TV details’. Here you can see whether your TV supports 4K UHD at 120Hz and if your TV setup supports up to native 4K at 120fps.

It’s important to note that most Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S games will default to either quality or performance mode. These tend to fall between 30fps and 60fps, with a third mode usually in place for 120fps.

It’s always worth checking a game’s settings or selecting the correct display prompt that may be in place to ensure you're playing your games at the highest framerate possible. cFor example, Rocket League on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S is compatible with 120Hz displays, however, you need to navigate the game’s settings then go to ‘Video’ and select ‘Performance’ under ‘Video Quality’ for 120fps support.

If you know that your TV has HDMI 2.1 and is capable of 120Hz, make sure that you’re using the cable included with your Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S console or an Ultra High-Speed Cable that’s rated for 4K 120Hz output.

It’s also worth noting that if you’re using a receiver or surround sound system, it might not be capable of acting as a pass through for 120Hz, so connect your Xbox Series X or Xbox Series directly to your TV. Finally, if you’re still not sure if your TV supports HDMI 2.1, check your TV’s manual for more information or click on ‘4K TV details’ under ‘TV & display’ options in the Xbox settings menu.

    Hope this helps
