    Running EXTREMELY slow


    My Xbox one is taking an EXTREMELY long time to boot up, and once it does, the home screen is very laggy. When I try to open a game, it takes a long time and then kicks me out saying it took too long to start for some reason. Is anyone else having this issue?
    Is it a problem on their end?

    Xbox 360 Slim Running Extremely Slow

    So this summer my Xbox 360 slim with a 250 GB HDD started running slower than normal. It now takes anywhere from 2-5 minutes to get the dashboard loaded. I can navigate the dashboard but when I select my pins from the dashboard, it takes up to 3 minutes
    to load my pins. Then when I try to load Netflix, it takes up to 3 minutes to recognize that I selected Netflix. When running Netflix or any apps or games, the console takes up to 3 minutes to recognize that an option was selected or that a button on the
    controller was pressed. This only happens at game menus. Actual gameplay isn't affected. When I hit the center button on my controller to bring up the Xbox live quick menu thing, it can take up to 5 minutes to get that to go away after the center button
    on the controller has been pressed again. My console has red ringed three times but it worked after a reboot. I have tried clearing the system cache, formatting my xbox, deleting extra files, pretty much everything short of sending it in to get fixed. Is
    there anything that can be done to speed up my Xbox? I'm almost ready to replace the darn thing. Feel free to ask for clarification. I know this post is kinda loaded. I need some serious help though getting my Xbox running well again and any help would be
    greatly appreciated.

    Xbox 360 Slim Running Extremely Slow

    Well, considering the fact that you've already received red rings on the console it may just be dying and in need of repair or replacement.

    However, I have found that having an external drive other than the hard drive can sometimes slow the system down. If you have a USB attached to the console try removing it. I'm sure you'll see an improvement on the speed of the console.

    I'm no expert but it sounds as if your internal HDD has either seen better days, or has corrupted sectures. Call support.

    Same here man, mine started at about 1ish? I cant remember what time but I start up the xbox, goes to xbox green screen for about 5-10 min then goes to a grey or black screen for about the same time then Gradually loads in all of my apps, I then try clicking
    on a game and it freezes or Starts to load in but stops and a notification pops up that says “sorry this game took too long to load”

    I just wanna enjoy me some quarantine. I thought I was the only one with slow dashboards and freezing. HELP US PLEASE

    A couple of things to check.

    Inspect the ventilation holes for dust accmulation and clean them if required.

    If you use Instant on power mode it doesn't hurt to fully shut down the console every now and then and remove the power cord for a few minutes. This will reset the power supply.

    If you're using a power board, try connecting the console to a separate wall socket by itself.

    Reset power supply solution has steps that may assist.

    Hey everyone! Hope you are all safe and healthy in these troubling times.

    As of today, April 5th, 2020, my Xbox dashboards speeds are working RIDICULOUSLY slow. I am unable to move even a space over my dashboard before my whole system crashes/stalls to a halt. I have tried EVERY fix on the internet possible (yes, I have hard reset
    so please don't tell me to do that, and cleared the MAC address, and reset my blue ray whatever, etc. etc.); to no avail.

    Have any Xbox One users been experiencing this issue!? It is extremely frustrating. If you're a Microsoft employee reading this, please help a loyal customer out!

    I have had no prior issues with my Xbox at all. It is a 2013 model that has been running beautifully for 7 years, and I am praying it will hold out until the Series X. No money to buy a new one currently since I'm out of work due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
