Rumour: EA secures the rights to Titanfall 2

You can game on servers in Japan if you want.

The ONE hasn't even released in Japan yet.

 

Why do people think azure servers are some magical thing? Dedicated servers have been around forever its nothing new. Anyone can rent a good sever, so many places offer great hosting. Back in the day I had 3 Counter strike servers running out of Chicago.
Most people playing were out of Michigan getting about a 7-15 ping. Any game can be set up for dedicated servers with ease.

 

This is EA am afraid we know there servers are not that good.look at there other games

 

No this is people not connecting with or two their closest Data Center.

 

this doesnt bother me but TF uses azure for the AI etc so either TF2 will use EA servers for just the ps4 version or all versions of TF2 will be on EA servers because azure controls the AI

 

@ieh they are different than the dedicated servers you rented in the past. Those 3 servers were 3 physical servers that the game Publishers had to rent or buy for you to rent. The MS servers are scalable. This means a game like Titanfall doesnt need to go
and guess about how many servers to rent in each region and possibly under or over supply wasting lots of money if those servers are empty most of the time.

eg Titanfall needs only 20 servers today in Australia as the player activity is dictating that. Tommow only 10 required. There is no longer 10 empty servers sitting their they are either dropped into standby or are allocated for people playing Forza 5 multiplayer.

Not only that but they can be use for Compute functions aswell like drivatars and the AI in titanfall aswell as all the dino's flying around on the multiplayer maps

Do a bit of research next time.

My connection on the Upload side is in the same range as yours... Note the most important connection needed for gaming. And i never had an issue with battlefield either.

Reason why. I would stick to my region! You would never find me in a European server, Asia server, not even an East Coast Server. You would find me in a West Coast server so i wasnt lagging it up for the players that were rightfully in their region.

Now imagine all the players on one team being on an out of region server. Theres your issue. Region control.

 

I bought the game for Xbox One and the PC version uses the same Microsoft servers for multiplayer in case you were wondering. Not sure if things are fine today but there was bad lag when I played the game last night. My connection isn't slow so it wasn't
on my end. 75/35 Upload and Download. If you check the official forums I think were some complaints about lag.

 

@listed not sure where you heard that upload is the most important for gaming? I believe that is only the case if you are hosting.

 

Only people who care about this are people who do NOT have Xbox One's. Clearly we were the first to receive it and Sony needs a good release seeing as though they have none. This is also JUST MY OPINION...! THANX

 

Hope this rumour turns out to be true because this game is a lot of fun and I know a few PS guys that would kill for this game.

 

This game is very popular, so I'm not surprised EA have brought the rights (if true) but soon the Titanfall franchise will go from one of my favourites to one of my least and all because of EA.

 

I bet ms is gonna pay a lot to keep it exclusive.

 

@messiahbrownie "thought ps4 gamers didnt want titanfall" are you basing this off the few ps4 players you have encountered? I will be a ps4 owner and i can tell you i dont fall under this category you speak of.

@rippenharra .. Eh @ieh is actually right.. The cloud is no big deal i know you would love to believe its true but its really not. Its microsofts way to get people like you to say "we have powerful servers bla bla" i myself have experienced lag on titanfall
and my connection is great. PS4 will handle T2 amazingly without microsofts "cloud servers". I mean just weeks ago you were one of the people that said ps4 wouldnt run titanfall because respawn said ps4 couldnt handle it haha a few other on here believed it
to.
