Rumour: EA secures the rights to Titanfall 2

Apparently Microsoft's servers lag just as well as EAs.

On topic, I wouldn't be surprised if this was Microsoft's move to entice undecided gamers to come in and pick up a Xbox One. I don't see EA actually pushing for this considering their stance on Titanfall and that rumour has it Titanfall 2 will come out on the PS4.

 

I have a very good connection and have not had any lag since playing on Titanfall

 

@LOL you are playing the PC version right? Doesnt that run on EA servers?

 

If i am not mistaken the game runs part EA server part Cloud.

The cloud is doing all the work for computing and the EA servers are connecting peoples together.

 

No lag on titanfall servers, having 20ms or less everytime I have played.

 

PMSL this is fine by me id love to see titanfall on the ps4 imagine the lag because i can tell u now they will not use AZURE and if this does happen i can tell u now titanfall 2 will use EA servers and if this happens i will not buy it because after bf3
and bf4 i have seen how bad EA servers can be. pc 360 and xb1 uses azure for titanfall 1

 

Plus add Fifa onto the mix the lag on that is bad aswell

so Titanfall will drop

 

Seems comments are appearing on facebook and twitter from ps4 users getting excited for Titanfall 2

i thought they didnt want this :/ oh well more sales the better i guess

Electronic Arts will be the publisher for the next Titanfall game from Respawn Entertainment, according to a GameSpot article and Polygon sources.

Our sources also tell us that the next Titanfall will not be a Microsoft exclusive. The original Titanfall was exclusive to Microsoft platforms: Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC.

An Electronic Arts representative declined to comment specifically on the rumor.

"We do not comment on rumor or speculation," the representative told Polygon. "Right now all our focus is on supporting all the fans worldwide enjoying Titanfall."

Respawn founder Vince Zampella did not respond to a request for comment, but a Respawn spokesperson declined to comment.

In October, Zampella tweeted that Respawn would eventually make games for the PlayStation 4 and implied that Titanfall's exclusivity was limited to the first game only.

Titanfall launched March 11 for Xbox One and PC. The Xbox 360 version was delayed today to an April 8 release.

Polygon's review of Titanfall called it the rare game that "feels like it came out on top of the few compromises Respawn has had to make.

"Titanfall may not mark the same kind of sea change that Modern Warfare started but the pieces are all there in a game that delivers on its potential as the next big thing.

 

Not even slightly surprised about this news, I knew from the moment I ordered Titanfall that there would be a sequel, more than likely multi-platform. I wouldn't even been surprised if a small team at Respawn is already taking notes and brainstorming ideas
for future games.

 

Lag on titanfall not that I've seen on x1. Only if you pick the wrong region maybe? I'm enjoying this game alot have had this fun in awhile.

 

Is it really already being announced, 8 days after release! Come on! I refuse to support that.

 

Though developers create them it is Publishers who commission video games to be made and are the driving force behind them.

It's hardly a surprise to see EA committing to supporting "Titanfall 2" considering the arguable "Smash Success" that the original is turning out to be.

I don't need "Titanfall" to remain an XBox ONE exclusive. The more who get to play the better really.

 

No doubt. Im all for giving it to the world. I think exclusive games or dlc is the dumbest thing invented.

And these users are most likely reporting lag because they are un knowingly or naively joining their friends across continents or even across the world. This is the issue!

In that case it does not matter who server they are on data travel takes time.
