Rumor: Red Dead Redemption 2 – Coming to Next-Gen?

I wouldn't mind one more rdr. It was a nice departure from standard shooters.

 

I think it would be fine, I had fun with the first game

 

Great game the only thing to ruin RDR are the cheats and other low life

 

they need some Indians in it this time. cowboys and Indians also a special appearance by the lone ranger and tonto

 

lets hope so. i am hoping that set it in the 1880s in the new mexico/arizona/souther cali/mexico area.

 

Red Dead Redemption was probably my favorite single player game from last gen (if not of all time). Huge, beautiful open world. Great story. Great main character. Fun side missions. It was basically the western version of GTAV.

I would pre-order it for $100 today if it were releasing next year.

 

Would LOVE to see this but knowing Rockstars production cycle I wouldn't hold your breath.

I would love to see RockStar take on all kinds of historical timelines. They do such an amazing job

 

Side note: I would rather Red Dead 2 not be a direct sequel to Red Dead 1. John Marston was epic. His son was a let down. I'd rather see a whole new character.

That's how Rockstar games work. You don't need to hope. And Redemption is not Red Dead 1. Revolver is.

 

If true, the only concern I have is the protagonist. JM was one of the best characters to play as in any Rockstar game in my opinion and topping that is going to be tough. I have no doubt they will pull it off, I just think its going to be very hard to fill
those boots.

What do you mean "that's how rockstar is"? Will they make a direct sequel or will they will heed my advice and create a whole new character?

 

Rockstar does not make direct sequels to their franchises. Ever. It's always a new character loosely set in the same universe.

The only exception to this is Max Payne. And that's because they purchased an established franchise. They didn't create it. And it would be kinda weird if Max Payne didn't have Max Payne in it.
