Rumor: New MLB 2K15 could be in the works this year

Saw a few rumor mills being pushed around the sports websites the last two days about another baseball offering on the Xbox One. They definately need one game at least to please the fans no matter how small the base is compared to the "Madden" and "FIFA"
crowds. MLB The Show sells so well every year so there's definately a base there. I would personally love to see some of the great ball parks in Xbox One glory in their HD likeness. Has anyone seen or heard anything about this?

360 Or Wait?

Buy a 360 or even a Ps3. Rumor is new systems to be out this year but who knows but why wait? The wait could be longer.

 

MLB Game for Xbox One in 2015?

So with the announcement of MLB the Show 15 for PS4 baseball fans who own the xbox one are wondering what to expect. Is this going to be a second straight dreadful year without a Major League Baseball game for xbox one? Yes there's RBI Baseball but that was awful. I've heard rumors that MLB 2K15 is making a come back, although it was awful on 360 I'd be open to a return for next-gen consoles since there is really no other option right now. Has anyone heard ANYTHING?

 

If it gets made it'll probably suck at least compared to the show if you really need to play baseball buy a ps4

 

Wish there was an X1 MLB game, the only reason I have a PS4 is for MLB but now the PS4 is growing on me and is my preferred console but MS doesnt care

 

The season is right around the corner, if there was a game coming out from 2k we would have heard about it already. The last I heard from 2k they let the license lapse because it wasn't profitable enough for them. I'd buy a PS4 if you want to play baseball,
it doesn't get any better than the show.

 

Microsoft could do something with High Heat, make it unlicensed for a season let us edit it. It would give them more money to make an awesome game with (no fees) and they would have a great game to put an MLB coating on in a year or 2.

 

If it is true, it will be a great addition to the genre as competition brings fresh ideas and better quality games. 2K traditionally beats the socks off EA Sports. NBA 2K15 is great, and EA has yet to step up to the plate and deliver a good hard hitting
title to compete. I blame EA's management. Madden is better than in years past but the development team has gotten lazy. Again, a 2K reentry into the larger sports game market would be very welcome by all of us sports gamers.

 

Baseball still sells, and MLB The Show 15 rocks. I have both PS4 and soon to purchase XBox One. Where I live XBox one is still astronomically expensive, and PS4 at the time was cheaper, and PS has the only running baseball series out there. RBI is an arcade
game, not a true simulation one can play...no comparison.

 

I hope they do come out with a legitimate baseball game for the 2016 season. 2K was a solid sim. I personally feel that it did not deserve all of the slack it received.
