Rumble can be heard on Xbox One controller

Hi All,

I'm not sure this is an issue or perhaps it's down to my too exacting standards!

I've had a console since launch and I could always hear the vibration function inside the controller.

It's not particularly loud, but if I'm playing late with the TV volume down it does break the immersion of the game.

I first assumed this was just the nature of the new controller- however I played with a One at a friend's house and his controller was whisper quiet.

Does anyone know a quick fix to resolve this?

If not do you think the warranty would cover this?

XBOX One Controller PC Rumble

I purchased an XBOX One controller for use with my PC (I don't own an actual XBOX One console, only a 360). It works perfectly, just as expected, except for one thing: rumble. I hate controller rumble and always make an effort to turn it off whenever I can.
However, many PC games (All of the ones I own, actually) don't provide an in-game option for disabling the rumble feature. How can I disable rumble for the controller itself (without physically opening the controller and cutting the wires to the motor)?

You can on the 360, just press the guide button and go over to control settings in the guide menu. You should have the option to disable the rumble features. From what I have heard you currently can not turn the rumble feature off on the Xbox one.

I had this issue with a controller I bought through Amazon. It may have been worse than yours, it was quite loud. I just exchanged it for a new one and was good to go. Doubt there is a fix.

Actually as far as I know there are four rumble motors in the Xbox one Controllers as opposed to the two in the Xbox 360 Controller.. The Xbox One Controllers has the "impulse motors" in the triggers.. But I assume that onyx62is could have ment to say that
there are two more rumble motors in the Xbox one Controllers than there is in the 360 controllers..

Question is, if the windows 10 driver for the Xbox One controller supports impulse trigger rumble in the first place? Can you confirm that it does?

If you say its purely a developer choice, that means there should be a way to "test" the impulse rumble feature of the controller somehow within windows 10(Calibrating e.g.)?
