Ruined Xmas day

Hackers didn't hurt the big bad wolf, they ruined Xmas for a lot of kids and adults alike. As much as I hate to say it, hackers suck, get a *** life.

 

This xbox is a huge let down. Im big xbox and Microsoft fan but there are so many problems with this xbox eve without the network that needs to be fixed. We should get something in return for this huge let down just how gta V did to those who had the game
when online came out and had so many problems with it that they had to pay people for their mistakes.

 

It appears that both XBox live and PSN were victims of a hacker attack today, most likely Lizard Squad. These @sshats did it on purpose on Christmas. This was not the fault of Microsoft or Sony...you can blame self-obsessed geeks with nothing better to
do than trying to ruin thousands of people's Christmas. The FBI is investigating, and hopefully these knuckleheads will get locked up and have a few years to think about what they did.

Again, this has been a tough day for everyone, but should not be confused with there being a problem with the XBox...it's a hacker attack that has rendered the biggest gaming networks on the planet useless today, not a problem with the machine itself.

 

Just wanted to play the games that we have bought on our new Xbox 1 for my sons christmas but took 4 hours to get it set up and now today cant sign in again to play been trying for 3 hours. This console sucks !!!

 

have to agree this is pathetic from microsoft and sony. They had advance knowledge but both thought they were never going to do it instead of taking precautions and now look at them. They owe a HUGE apology and compensation to everyone that has been affected

My kids xbox one also broken....broken optical drive spoke to them yesterday offered to replace but would have to wait 14-21 days but have since found out they are offering an advanced exchange programme..where they send out a replacement straightaway...so
I contacted them to request this to be told yes I can have it but there is a $10-$15 charge for it haha and it can only be done over the phone.....ur product is broken, ruined christmas for many kids and they are going to charge you for the misery and stress....well
done microsoft!! and to top it off the guy told me yeah they open at 8....hmm still closed...thanks for the bad information mate!!

 

Hope they get this fixed soon, was really looking forward to alittle holiday gaming.

 

What I am not understanding is how I seen a month ago on facebook they said someone was going to shut down xbox live by hacking it and xbox did nothing to stop them now I have spent a lot of money to get the Xbox one and some game to play. Not only that
but I have also paid for Xbox live like I have for years and now I can't play. What I want to know is what is Goin to be done about this or have I just wasted time and money just to have xbox do nothing. I think xbox should give us the people that have paid
to be able to play online something for our inconvenience.

 

Hacking and DDOSing are two different things you know. Neither Xbox or PSN were hacked.
