ruff n ready p-51 forza horizon original (first)

I am playing on easy difficulty, just a casual racer and have won every race so far except for the ruff n ready p-51 and I have tried at least 75 times and many different routes but to no avail. Am I missing something, I am about ready to give up as it
seems so ridiculous to make one event so damn hard when with a little work all the others are win-able. Any suggestions would be considered as a super kindness and consideration!! Is there any awards that include a heat seeking missile? LOL Grady
