rrod not fixing

i hope this is the right area to post this, so i have had rrod for a past few months, and i wasnt using my xbox since 3 months. today i got the time to call my tech cousin and replace the thermal paste properly. and as everyone knows thermal paste is the
cause mostly for rrod, so we did that and patched it up and then ran it but unfortunately, 3 red lights still flash, p2+p3+p4 ones, its the 2007 model, i dont know what to do help me. also i removed the wires from the supply and then reconnected after a while
same thing happens, it keeps giving rrod problem. when i run the power supply on it is orange, but when i turn the xbox on, the power supply light goes green for a second then becomes orange and the 3red lights flash. do you have any idea what i should do
now?

Personally I'd take a stab at fixing it yourself since it is out of warranty. Fixing the RRoD is easy and cheap, which makes the fee Microsoft charge outrageous.

Have you done any self repairs to the console? Such as replacing the disc drive or fixing an RRoD?

 

i dont think throwing it would be a good idea, i still havent reflowed the heat on its sinks. Plus if that doesnt work i will send it to the shop maybe the will know what to do but i still wanna know if any one is having or had this problem and how they
fixed it
