Royalty camo on Sniper Rifles

So after an extremely long grind, I've finally unlocked royalty camo on my sniper rifles. I'm just posting this so people know it is possible, even though it's ridiculously hard and needs to be changed. I did not get this by a glitch of any sort, just pure
grinding for the unlocks. I thought I'd provide some feedback on things that should be changed and some tips on how to use the lynx and NA-45 effectively.

Comments / tips about the lynx and NA-45

Lynx - This one took me the longest to get kills with and was easily the most frustrating. The longshot medals and the double kill medals were the hardest to get, and I had to earn most the double kill medals in hardcore, because this sniper
rifle's damage is a 2 shot kill without headshots. The longshots need changed badly, and this applies to all sniper rifles. There are only a handful of areas on select maps where longshots are even possible. When going for longshots, you also notice that you'll
miss frequently despite the crosshairs being lined up on the enemy's head. Or you'll get a body shot instead of a 1 hit kill. This is because the shot does not line up with the center of the crosshairs as it should. It shoots a little below and left of center,
which is EXTREMELY annoying. These really need changed.

Tips:

-Crouch or lie prone for longshots. This reduces the recoil on your shots drastically and makes a huge difference in regular modes like team deathmatch. In prone position, there's nearly no recoil at all. Most of my longshots with this gun were on Instinct.

- Aim slightly above and to the right of the enemy's head for headshots at long distances, or longshots. This corrects the screw up in the off center crosshairs, and will make sure you get a headshot and not a body shot.

- Play hardcore mode if you can. The lynx kills in 1 hit in HC, which makes a big difference especially when you're looking for double kill medals.

NA-45 - This gun is surprisingly good once you get a handle on it. Most of the medals of this gun were really easy to earn except for the longshots. Longshots were basically required to be long range headshots, since it's very hard to land
both shots in the same spot at huge distances, unless you're crouching or prone. The proximity requirements of the 2 shots is too small, and imo should be expanded. Sometimes landing both shots on the same enemy wouldn't cause the initial shot to even explode,
when I clearly had hitmarkers both times (I have no idea why this is, even though it's rare). I've had plenty of times where I've accidentally hit the enemy with 1 shot and hit the ground next to them with another, which causes no detonation. I think this
should be reworked. As it stands, they either both need to hit the enemy, or both hit the ground / wall / ceiling to cause a detonation,

All that being said, I've had some very good games with this gun. The 15 bloodthirsty medals really weren't bad at all, once you get used to how it operates. My best score I think was 19-3 with it.

Tips:

- Go for headshots at really long ranges with the first shot in order to secure a longshot and headshot medal.

- Use height to your advantage. Maps like solar are really good for this gun since there's a lot of elevation. Shoot both projectiles NEAR the player, not directly at him. If you hit him with one but not the other, you'll likely die by the time you've reloaded
for a second shot. This gun fires pretty rapidly, so use that to your advantage.

- Use boost jumps when someone gets in close range with you and fire your shots at the ground near their feet while airborne. This is the BEST way I've found to use this gun. Not only are you hard to hit, but the angle change makes it easy to land both shots
near them. Think about how people used rocket launchers in halo.

- Turn on danger close

- Clear small rooms with the detonations. This is an easy way to get double kills. I've gotten many on levels like Detroit, where people tend to hide in the small room by the alley.

- Never try and hit players with both shots unless you're very sure you can land both (best for people who aren't paying attention, or camping). Moving targets are very hard to hit with both shots, and if you miss one you're probably going to die while reloading.

The MORS and 20 mm are fairly easy to get kills with, and are both good snipers. I think most people know how to use these, so I won't talk about them. Good luck to anyone else attempting the grind!

Last Team Standing DLC What's Your View ?

I like the new Marksman Rifle and Heavy Shotgun. The rifle is like a hybrid sniper/assault rifle (Somewhat similar to the Indra Sniper Rifle from Mass Effect 3) and I found it pretty easy to snipe targets rapidly. The Heavy Shotgun though is a beast. Two
to three shots can take out any car nicely.

The outfits were okay... I can see wearing the all black or forest camo ones making things difficult for targets at nighttime/in forested areas (which I'll test out later).

Haven't tried out the event or LTS yet... heard mixed things about them

Is the Royalty camo really that worth it? To be perfectly honest I don't even think going for Diamond is all that worth it either. It's so dulled out compared to Bo2 and Royalty camo looks very ugly and unappealing to me.

 

Well that's for you to decide I suppose. I just like the fact that I have yet to see another person in game with royalty on their snipers. It does lessen the effect though, because of the elite variations that have their own custom camos.

It's a pain in the *** to unlock it, but I just really wanted to see if I could do it, because I'd heard how impossible it was.
