    Router/Xbox 360 issues

I recently purchased a Linksys AC1200+ router and after install, I can't get my Xbox 360 to connect.

For some reason it doesn't get the IP address.

Anyone have this issue or a way to get by it?

    Everything else connects flawlessly.

Not sure if there is an issue with router settings or the Xbox360.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

    :)

    Internet Conection

Most of us are having some problems with the internet conection error!
Heres is something I found to help you guys get rid of that problem:
1-Disable any firewall or security features on your router.
-Set port forwarding on your router to the IP address of your Xbox 360. This game uses port 3074 (UDP/TCP). Additionally Xbox LIVE requires ports 80, 53 TCP and 88, 53 UDP.
3-Place your Xbox 360 into the DMZ of your router.
4-Disconnect your router and try the game. If it works regularly at this point something about your router may not be completely compatible with the specific needs of this game. Check with your router manufacturer and Microsoft's Xbox Live Connection Issues page for additional steps that may need to be done to resolve the issue you are having. You can also verify that you have an Xbox Live compatible router.
And that's it guys , you should be ready to get some kills without any internet interruption! Router/Xbox 360 issues
But I will keep you informed about the new Patches because they are working in that
    So , good gaming Router/Xbox 360 issues :D

Several consoles through the same router

I have done this with two Xbox 360's and a laptop all connected to the same router. I had no issues with lag or anything. I have one of the fastest comcast speeds though, so maybe that is why.

Hey, FlightTech! Sorry to see any connection issues! This should be working flawlessly, as the AC1200+ is a decent router for the Xbox 360.

First, make sure you've restore your network settings to factory default. You can do that by following these steps.

    • Press the Guide button on your controller, select Settings, and select
      System Settings.
    • Select Network Settings.
    • Select your connection type.
    • Select Configure Network.
    • On the Additional Settings tab, select Restore to Factory Defaults. When prompted, select
Yes, Restore to Factory Defaults. (Note: This ONLY resets the network settings, not the console settings.)
If that doesn't help you out, please post back with the below information so that we can best assist you. Thanks!

Xbox doesn't read the cable from router

To be clear, this issue is occurring with a brand new Xbox 360? What are you connecting to, a router or modem? If it's a router, can you try a different port on the router to see if that resolves the issue?

XBL disconnecting only when playing a game

Have you tried to make sure that all other XBOX 360's are offline, reset your router/modem and then turn on your own XBOX 360 and try to recover the account. It's quite possible that 3 XBOX 360's might be an issue for your router.
