Router reccomendation - anybody 2 Xbox ones both open nat?

Currently on Virgin media UK, tried super hub 2 and now the new hub 3. After messing with all the possible settings and much research it's juts not possible to have both consoles on open nat. Port forwarding etc only works with one console, for multiple
you must rely on your routers unpnp, for which the Virgin hubs are awful.

If anybody has multiple Xbox ones with open nat please let me know you're router. Also I would like both consoles to be set to instant on mode, however, after reading many forum posts and guides I'm not sure this is possible.

So far I am potentially looking at:

Asus RT ac56u

Asus RT- N66U

Netgear r7000 Nighthawk

I would really like the cheapest option that will work as I can't be spending £100 on this and will likely get a used eBay version.

2 xbox ones IPSec problem i do have open nat on both

I have 2 xbox ones both have a open nat and run fine but when I play titianfall I can not join with my other xbox but when I enable IPSec using a nat rule both xbox ones become strict nat but I can join the game on the second xbox one the game lags bad

If using two Ones on the same router the only way to get an open or at least medium NAT is the use of UPnp. It's not possible to use portforwardings or portriggering.

Unfortunately there are some routers being problems with multiple console support via UPnp. Try at least to not use static IPs or IP reservation add this may cause problems on some routers.

Just because of the way NAT works and the way port forwarding works it WONT be possible to get open NAT on both xboxs at the same time. One would be open and the other moderate as they way port forwarding works its not possible to have the same ports open
on both xboxs at the same time.

That being said the r7000 is a good recommended router for having two xboxs on the same network as it handles UPnP fairly well.

Youll want to have DMZ,Port Fowarding, and Port triggering turned off and the have UPnP turned on

You have confirmed exactly what I was saying, port forwarding or DMZ will not work with two consoles, therefore, I need a router with good unpnp implementation to allow both consoles to be open at the same time.

I just wanted confirmation of a router that achieves this before I buy it. The three I listen already I have read people can achieve open nat on two consoles and just wanted somebody here to confirm they have this.

 

Plain modem and a cheap netgear wrn2000 router will work right out of the box.....

 

I have the Nighthawk That i purchased for the same reason and it works perfectly. Not sure what KindGryphon is talking about but since I got this setup both xbox ones have shown open NAT and not had any issues connecting.
