  1. Router open ports needed for multiplayer

In the past week, I have lost the ability to connect multiplayer when friends come over to play destiny at my house with their own console. I am also unable to connect to multiplayer with my son in his room. NAT types are al set to strict but we still cannot
connect on multiplayer. y router supports IPv6 but the XBOX is still running on IPv4. I am on the line now with ATT Uverse to open some additional ports as provided by XBOX support. ATT has opened up all of the ports XBOX requires but I still cant multilayer
with anyone t my house who logs on to my router.

    :)

    Moderate NAT, Upstream WARNING

I changed my router to have the needed ports open for multiplayer, & upgraded my service to have better upstream. fixed the problem for a bit. Now my NAT is moderate, & the upstream says WARNING, again. WTF?

Have you properly configured your router to open the ports needed for xbox live? Your NAT type can play a huge part in issues.

Latency problems with the Xbox App on pc

    Hi,

Make sure to have these port open

These ports must be open for Xbox Live to work:

    • Port 88 (UDP)
    • Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
    • Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
    • Port 80 (TCP)
    • Port 500 (UDP)
    • Port 3544 (UDP)
    • Port 4500 (UDP)

Note Some game developers require you to open additional ports. You should always check the game developer's website to see if the game you're playing needs
    additional ports to work.

You can also find information about opening ports on your router at the
Port Forward website. This website lists commonly used ports for various apps and games, but if your router isn't listed or you need more help, contact your internet service provider
    or router manufacturer.

If you're connected to a network through your workplace or school, ask the network administrator to open these ports.

If you receive a NAT warning when you connect to Xbox Live, see the

    Xbox One Multiplayer Game Solution

    NAT type stuck on strict

You need to open your NAT on your router. There are 2 ways to this. Some sophisticated smart routers have a gaming preference, which will automatically open ports for you. If you do not have this option, you need to port forward the ports for xbox. You will
need to open the following ports :

    Port 88 (UDP)

    Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 80 (TCP)

    Port 500 (UDP)

    Port 3544 (UDP)

    Port 4500 (UDP)

PM me if you need help.

    this forum is useless

What port(s) are you referring to?
the title of the part of forum ADDITIONAL PORTS FOR MULTIPLAYER says it all.... that's what ports he means and he is right.... the name suggests, as do links generated and used by Microsoft in their PORT FORWARDING support page suggests in addition to the
ports they suggest opening on router, other ports specific to certain games may also need to be opened. They then provide a link where to find info on these additional ports and that link brings you here... no additional ports .....

please look at your modem/routers manufacture website to see if there are any firmware updates. Also try a hard reset by holding the power button on console for 6 seconds. once done test your multiplayer connection. If you are still getting strict NAT type
please look here on ports that need to be opened in your router
    forums.xbox.com/.../157383.aspx
and here for information on how to open the ports for your router
http://portforward.com/ if all the ports are opened you shouldn't have any issues.
