Rory McIlroy golf EA Access

I've had a break from the EA golf titles over the last few years but it's been an absolute joy to start playing again.

Like a lot of new releases these days I do hold my breath a little when I start playing and new game and especially with this being EA I was expecting a few issues but not had a single issue so far. Plays brilliantly in single player, runs smooth online,
no problem connecting to friends or finding random players.

Ton of content in single player, huge career mode, challenge modes etc

Unranked, ranked, private games online! Daily, weekly, monthly challenges.

If your even half interested in golf games, from my own experience with it I highly recommend giving this title a look.

Can't remember the course name but I did see a message when playing last night that we are getting a new course for free in September.

 

Loving the game and finding it quite challenging, I may be wrong Lofty but I think the free September course may be the one that was given out as a preorder bonus? Can't check myself as my broadband is still down.

I tried arcade mode last night and found it a bit of a bore tbh - yes I was hitting at least a birdy every hole but it didn't give me that satisfaction of tour mode and hitting a par if I'm lucky lol

 

I was doing so well until... someone decided to put a battleship in my way. Arrrrrrrrrrgh! Please excuse my mini-rant. I made the mistake of trying to play the
BATTLEFIELD COURSE.

 

... and in other news... I was gonna join an online tournament today until I saw all these people with insane scores like -24. WTH... lol

 

^^ Lol what the? You can beat 'em if you believe! Haha I played some of this earlier and it's definitely a game you need to practice more to get the hang of it. I jumped in thinking it'd be easy but those dang easy puts get me lol. So far, I like it for
my first PGA game. I just need to play it more.

 

OMGoth I made a 109 ft. putt tonight! Thanks to the
XBOX RECORD THAT voice command, I actually have the clip on my Activity Feed.

 

A friend of mine who has this for PS 4 says if you've played "Tiger" before then -20 under par is what to expect from Arcade Mode.

PGA Tour is apparently where the challenge should be as a number of aides are not present.

 

-20 is perfectly well achievable on arcade mode, in fact compared to previous Tiger games arcade mode is now even easier as you can see a line for the flight of the ball with the wind taken into account. At least on previous Tiger games you had to judge
how much the ball would move in the air based on wind speed and direction.

I'm a bit torn between modes now, arcade mode is too easy but tour mode can be a bit demoralising when I can just make par or especially when making a complete mess of a hole (or multiple holes as is more likely the case!.

 

^^ feel the same mate but Tour mode is far more satisfying overall for me, I'll only play arcade online with mates after a few beers

 

If you play ranked online it dosnt show flight of ball adjusted for wind on arcade mode making it a bit more difficult .its good they got rid of the old putt preview which made putting too easy.infact i dont why this is getting terrible reviews.they are
obviously going to have less content for the first next gen game .they all do it, f1 is getting same critisism.they will add more to each years game and claim what a great improvment it is.

 

^^ long time no see potts . They've stated this is not going to be a yearly release now mate, so probably just going to update with courses, now whether that's paid or free is still an unknown I would guess maybe one or two free and the rest paid for
with a couple of pro golfers/ clothes chucked in every now and then.

 

playing rory mcilroy pga tour. in pro career my created golfer wont save even when I am singed in to ea. what can I do??????
