    Rocksmith cord suddenly not being detected.


    I used Rocksmith last night and it worked fine. A few minutes ago I went to use it again and the Xbox could not detect the guitar.

    I tried new back-up Rocksmith cords I have and nothing worked.

    The guitar works fine going through an amp.

    Is this a USB port failure?

    I have not changed a thing since last night.

    The power button reset seems to have solved it.

    Hey there Tomaroo,

    Sorry to hear you are running into this problem with the guitar not being detected on your console. Is this going on on a Xbox 360 or is it The Remastered 2014 edition for the Xbox One?

    We can go through some quick troubleshooting before we say it's the USB ports. Have you tried connecting to all USB ports on the console including the front and back. If the issue persists then I would advise that you Physically Power Cycle your console.
    I will go ahead and post the steps for the Xbox One, Physically power cycling on the Xbox 360 is the same, just hold down the power button until the console turns off.
