I think he means since you paid for a service and you got the game since you paid for that service, it wasn't technically free. I however disagree. I look at it as free because it wasn't part of the package when you signed up for it. It's basically free

I'm just pointing out that the Publisher was paid by Sony to let them have the game for Playstation LIVE subscribers.

It's not a case that Psyonix are trying to claw money back from XBox ONE users because it was free on Playstation LIVE.

It's also been available on Microsoft Windows since launch.

The Publisher themselves have admitted they never expected it to be the hit it turned out to be.

It was a bit of a happy accident for them which is great because it means we get an XBox LIVE Arcade that is head and shoulders knees and toes above the regular drivel they pump out.

Ah, that makes more sense, as far as money goes the game has apparently pulled in over $50 million for them which definitely helped bring it to Xbox. I think most people who got it on PS+ have dropped money on DLC, myself included. It's a great game, enjoy!

Had a go at midnight this morning.

It's good fun and a great addition to a gaming library considering it's something you make make a whole night of if you want to... but also something you can enjoy a quick spin on.

It's no "World Of Tanks" but it's supposed to be fun.

Enough of my buddies have recommended it for me to have grabbed it on pre-order.

Like Shiggy says you get all the DLC packs for free (apart from the new DLC packs they want you to buy like the Delorean).

The game is a breath of fresh air, seriously good fun with a team of mates. I wouldn't have ever considered it without PS+ but I've sank dozens of hours into it, you might be surprised at how good it actually is if you give it a chance.

If you want PS+ benefits then I suggest you buy a PlayStation. Just because Psyonix struck a deal with Sony doesn't mean Microsoft would or should do the same.

Game development isn't free and the developers wanted to be properly compensated for their game this time, rather than only getting a fraction of what they could have gotten. Remember the developer has to agree to make it free, and they failed to do so.
Don't you think Microsoft would rather offer a huge game like Rocket League over Zheroes and Styx? You bet they would, but they can't force a developers hand.

Paying for the game = More support for the developer, and frankly, it's $20. It's a great game, and isn't going to set you back a ton of money.

and Sony was the one that wanted to offer it as part of the monthly giveaway, Psyonix jumped on the chance of being paid for it and the possible free advertising that comes with the highlight of being a PS+ title so it no it was not Psyonix that wanted
it to just be for free for PS4
