Rocket league keeps crashing after 2 updates

OK, I have had this issue since the 2020 release when it became free on Epic games which is on PC and I want to help anyone having similar issues because this really ruined my mood for a solid week and I actually thought that nothing
will work. I know this in your case, you have an xbox so try number 4, but for those that are on PC, you can try the rest of them as well. Eventually, this combination below here is what worked:

1. Open CMD as administrator and type sfc/scannow. Make sure all issues are fixed or repair windows by reinstalling it using the media tool. Hopefully you don't have to go that far but I had to.

2. Run Epic Games or whatever launcher you have as an administrator. Do not run the Rocket league game as administrator as this cause the game to not even launch at all. Run rocket league in compatibility mode for windows 8.

3. Make sure your drivers are Up to Date. I checked all of them on device manager in control panel and one by one checked for update on each.

4. This is by far the most important step. After checking event viewer and the log files for the game, it appeared that the culprit was a particle component of the game so I turned off all particle effects including the weather effects and this is what
finally stabilized the game and stopped the crashes.

I hope this helps, note that these were not all the things I tried but were the most relevant in solving the issue.

Also I wanted to mention that COD is not the only game that's crashing. Several other games like Rocket League, Overwatch 2, and Apex legends are experiencing the same crashes.

You can try Forza Motosport 7, Fable II, Plants Vs Zombies 2, Minecraft, Fifa 20, Rocket League, Team Sonic Racing, Crash Nitro Fueled, etc.

It's not Xbox related.

These framedrops are here since the latest (season 5) update of Rocket League.

Sometimes it helps to completely restart Rocket League. But the framedrops will return eventually.

CTR:NF, Rocket League, Gears 4, Jurassic World. oh and Crash N Sane trilogy but i cant play it until Christmas!
