Rocket League issues on shared xbox one

I was hoping someone can help me.. I have been on chat with tech support for several hours on two occasions trying to figure this out. I have 2 xbox ones. One for each child. One made it the home xbox so their games can be shared. All the games work except
the recent purchase of Rocket League. on Xbox #2 it gives an error of 0x87de7d1. Which requires us to purchase the game. Tech support states the license isn't being recognized although it can be played on Xbox #1. Actually, he was able to play it for 10 minutes
yesterday. He left the game and asked to buy the DeLorean and then couldn't go back on. So today with Tech support we uninstalled and reinstalled, refunded and repurchased to no avail. We refunded for a second time and was advised to wait until I am refunded
to repurchase it. I don't think this has anything to do with the issue but the son with Xbox #1 is apart of the preview club as well and played it for free last month. Anyhow... any ideas as to why I'm having such a hard time with this game?

It's because of the preview program. With the current preview update, anything purchase under the preview program can only be played on the original console it was purchased on. Once the preview is released to the public, it will be shareable again.

 

You mentioned that the Xbox #1 is part of Preview Program, is the new Xbox Dashboard update downloaded on that certain console? If yes, you may need to post this issue you're having on the Preview Forums to check if a fix has already been found. If not,
it would be best to look into either resetting the console to factory defaults or having the console replaced if it's still under warranty.
