    I gave it a go yesterday, thought it was fun but I can't really see it having any long lasting appeal after the novelty has worn off. If it was £5 I might buy for a bit of fun, but at £15 it seems overpriced for me.

    Rocket League is free to play with gold for this weekend. You can play the game for free yet by the end of the weekend if you want to continue to play you will have to purchase Rocket League.

    Rocket league isn't free with gold.

    It is in the gamepass program.

    So either you need to buy the game, or buy game pass.

    Last weekend it was playable for free with gold, but that ended.

    Rocket League was free as part of a free play weekend, but has never been a free games with gold. You would need to purchase the game if you want to play it.

    That was for a free to play weekend on NBA 2k17 and Rocket League. There are free play weekends every now and then for specific games.
