    I've been collecting Xbox 360's for a few years now and over the weekend I was able to find a Star Wars edition Xbox 360 console to add to my collection. I also was able to find a Pro Guitar Controller for RockBand 3. I got everything hooked up, cleaned up and ready to test out but when I went to launch RockBand 3 it refused to launch. I checked my storage and it was downloaded so I was very confused. I figured something had gone wrong in switching to the new console so I stupidly deleted it and went to the store to redownload it only to find that the game was no longer available for purchase. Now games have been de-listed that I've purchased before but they've always been available to download later on. All I see in my download history is CONTENT NOT AVAILABLE. This is some [mod removed]. I purchased something and now I no longer have access to it? I couldn't even play it even when it was downloaded?! How the [mod removed] is this legal? I don't care how long ago I bought it, I want a refund. Has anyone else run into this issue, whether with RB3 or any other games?

    No it won't work.

    If you have older Xbox 360 instruments, there is a Rockband adapter where you can connect older Xbox 360 wireless instruments through that adapter.

    But since the Guitar Hero Live controller has 3 pairs of "white/black" buttons instead of the five colored buttons, the Guitar Hero Live guitar is not compatible with Rockband 4. Please check

    this compatibility matrix for which instruments are compatible with Rockband 4.

    If You Bought RockBand 3 in the Xbox Store it No Longer Works, Even if You have it Installed.

    You can buy the games second hand from EBGames, WeBuy and any pawn shop. I just got a copy of RockBand 3 for Xbox360 from the Australian WeBuy store. Though of course, this still means your initial outlay will not be refunded.

    No More Rockband or Guitar Hero :(

    RockBand is still around, they are still adding DLC and the gear is widely available. You dont need to buy a music game every year.

    Even if you stick to the retail RockBand discs you can get an pretty good library from RB1-2-Lego exports alone.
