Rock Band Franchise song export to RB4 on Xbox One

Hello

I am fairly new to the console scene, and currently have Xbox 360. I would have posted on 360 forums, but my question concerns Xbox One, as I am considering weather or not to get it. I am hearing some rumblings from the family after the new game and the new
songs, but I have been having a mixed experience with the song export function so far on 360 and before I spend any more money and get hit with more disappointments, I'd like to know what to expect.

So. I have Rock Bands 1,2 and 3 for Xbox 360 along with some other track packs. For clarity, let us concentrate on 1, LEGO, 2 and 3 - those seem to be the favorites in my family. I was originally under the impression that just by having the games in question,
I could export and play those songs on any of the other games (minus a handful of exceptions).

I managed to find a copy of RB1. Then found out I have to pay for the privilege in the form of the export key. I exported RB 1 songs and was happy. I was short a few more bucks than I had expected, but at least I got the songs.

Finally found an RB2. Went to purchase a key... only to not find it at all. After EXTENSIVE digging around on internet I learned, from a 3rd or 4th party website, that the export function had been discontinued.

There was still an export key for LEGO, though, and it had some nice songs, so I got that one. But, when I went to buy the key (which by the way is
still in the xbox store....), it's not actually there. So no go for that neither.

All I got exported is RB1. My question, thus, is: If I spend all the money for a new console and new controllers and new game, will that be the only songs from all these RB franchise discs that I have already purchased, that I'll be able to bring in to RB4?
Since I never got to export any of the others before the export was shut down?

It would be awfully nice to get a clear answer. =)

Lego Rock Band Song Export into RB4/Xbox One from Xbox 360

Is anybody else having issues getting their Lego Rock Band songs to export into Xbox One and be playable in Rock Band 4? I have been having nothing but trouble getting old purchased songs to export into RB4. The songs are on my Xbox 360, still work on
the 360, but when I search for the songs on the Xbox One I can see them in the Xbox Store but am not given the option to download. I had the same issue with AC/DC as well as other RB Music store DLC. Many of the DLC songs I was able to just re-purchase.
The AC/DC I was after months of trying finally able to get a code to export and have them working. I've even tried to re-purchase the songs but when I put the code in I just get an error message. Help!!

 

Backwards compatibility on DC

Like stuart says, yes, work for some games.

One exemple is Rock band 3 DLC's to RB4, if you previosly purchase the songs for RB3 you can download the same track at no coast on RB4.

If DC that you say is Dace Central ? I don't try it, but i have 2 exports packs from previous games: DC1 and DC2.
