Rock Band 4 Wireless Controllers on Xbox One S

Maybe it is just an oversight, but when MS announced the Xbox One S, we were told that all previous controllers for the Xbox One would work on the new S model. Come to find out, Neither my MS Xbox One Controllers, nor my Rock Band Wireless Guitars or Drums
will sync with the new One S. Has anyone heard when this will be fixed?

    :)

FINALLY! Xbox One is going to support 8 Wireless Controllers at once. The only thing that this will be useful for is a game like Rock Band. Unfortunately, now PS4 will only support 4 controllers lol. I just hope Harmonix lets us take advantage of that
    for their next game.

I had the Rock Band drums, 2 guitars & 4 wireless controllers connected & none of them disconnected after playing Rock Band for 3 hours.

    xBox360 controllers compatability with xBoxOne

Microsoft confirmed just before the backward compatibility started that games that required peripherals such as Rock Band, Lips, DJ Hero, Guitar Hero would not be backward compatible as the peripherals were not compatible with the Xbox One.

You can use the Xbox 360 wireless instruments on the Xbox One using the Rock Band 4 adapter, but only for Rock Band 4

Connecting Xbox One Rockband4 drums and guitar

Keep in mind that you must have the Legacy Game Controller Adapter hooked up to your Xbox One to play Rock Band 4 with compatible legacy music game controllers. You do NOT need to sync microphones - as long as a controller is synced to your console, plug
in your microphone via USB and you're good to go!

1 Make sure your Xbox One is turned on and you have Rock Band 4 running.

2 Make sure your Rock Band 4 controller that you are trying to sync has fresh batteries.

3 Press and hold the Xbox One button on your instrument. This is found in the center of your drum kit or next to the D Pad on your guitar.

4 A white light should turn on and start blinking slowly. This means the controller is waiting to sync.

5 AT THE SAME TIME: Press and hold the sync button on the Xbox One (located to the left of the CD drive) and press and hold the small wireless button on your Rock Band 4 controller (for drums, this is a black button found on the bottom left side of the main
center brain. For guitars, this is a white button found where the amp plug would be). You only need to hold down both of these buttons for a maximum of two seconds.

6 The white light on your instrument should start blinking quickly. This means the controller is trying to sync with your console. After a few moments, it will return to blinking slowly and then stop blinking all together. If the light is steady and not
blinking, this means your controller has synced.

7 If your controller continues to blink slowly, repeat step 5 until the light becomes steady. Make sure to press BOTH sync buttons on the Xbox One and Rock Band 4 controller at the same time!

8 Once your controller has synced, press the Menu button (the button that has three thick black parallel lines) to officially get in game and rocking!
