    Rock and a hard place(venting)


    Last night my 360 is not loading games or apps. I do some research and the forums are saying HD problem. I remove my HD and disc games now are working. So I go out this morning to pick up a new HD and transfer cord($170ish). Get home unpackage it, put it
    in. Same problem...frustrated I go back online. Now there is an update stating there is a problem that is being worked on by the XBOX team. Now with the HD and cord unpackaged it is now considered "used" (Future Shop Policy...I am not faulting them),
    it is not returnable!!!!     Why was there no message on the dashboard? or an email? text? Now I am out $170???

    Frustrated...

    (Does anyone want to buy a 350 GB hard drive and transfer cord?)

    How many missions?

    Im pretty far in the game on the Mission "A Rock and a Hard Place" how many more are there?

    I have found a Temporary Fix and its not your HDD

    You will need to go into your storage do a cache clean 3 times, then Press LB RB X LB RBX on your storage device screen. This will remove your System Update. Hit Yes. System will restart> When it loads back up decline the update. If you have Auto Sign in
    active disable it. Restart the console. Allow the update to proceed. After the system update completes, DO not sign it yet. Load the game off line. When the game loads and prompts you to sign in do so. if the game needs an up date allow it. the game will load
    and play online.

    When you need to switch games repeat only the process of restart the console and starting the game or app offline then sign in. This temporary fix is working.

    Thank you. It still sucks that I have a HD that I can't return... Did Microsoft get hacked? There has been a lot of online services having problems this week: Facebook, Gmail, Yahoo mail, and still Microsoft(XBOX)...

    Long shot: Is there a email complaint address?

    I opend it up ealeir in the week, it was spotless and while it was in bits i changed the thermal paste sice it was rock hard, and i still get the same issue
