Rocband 4 disc to digital

It seems very unfair to me that those of us that invested in rockband 4 are now stuck with having to purchase the digital version.

I originally purchased RB 4 when it came out which as we all know was expensive, along with this rivals that has been purchased digitally along with very many Purchased DLC songs.

How can one still have the original Disc plus the add ons and the instruments but not beable to play the game on the the series s without purchasing something that in theory I have already got.

Surely there is some kind of coding on the disc that can be verified by DLC or Microsoft that you already own this game, After all we would not of just have DLC songs purchased digitally on the x box just to see them on your hard drive but not able to play.

Ofcourse I am wanting to purchase the x box series X when its actually available without waiting in an online line only to be sold out by the time you actually get to the supposed purchase option.

So in the mean time I still have this game on disc, I want to play it, but can't.

Do you not think that's a bit much for us Rockband players. Especially I and most people have been

Loyal to x box since the first consoles came out.

With this is mind I had Rockband 3 and was unable to download my old songs purchased through DLC as I had lost my old Microsoft email details and have been unable to access this as its locked out.

Back to my point about the Rocband Disc. I have invested over the years, since 2000 or so in Microsoft gaming systems and games, with many DLC purchases. Is this how a loyal customer gets stuck because a Digital gaming version vs the disc already owned.

Basicly I could take pictures of the original game also as proof.

Where is the customer service on this.

Am I just a minion amongst millions that you don't really care about because the £££ €€€ $$$ will coming your way.

Someone must beable to resolve this, is there know goodwill no more, I lived in the US for 10 years but for family reasons moved back to the UK. In the states i worked in retail. It was the best customer service I had ever experienced and was able to apply in my management positions.

The Customers came first and no questions asked (mostly) to go above and beyond was the goal when I worked at Best Buy and at Lowes home improvement store.

"WE MADE IT HAPPEN FOR OUR CUSTOMERS" we treated them as how we would want to be treated as Customers.

So who can help me? firstly recover my old email and old x box account GT.

Secondly consider my dilemma regarding Rockband 4

I would very much appreciate help on this.

No there is not. You inserting the disc in itself is proof that you own the game when it comes to physical games.

The devs of Rockband 4 (in this case Harmonix Music Systems want their money if you get a digital version. When Xbox (or playstation for that matter) sells you a digital game Xbox and Playstation barely get any of that money at all. For a 60 digital game Xbox or playstation only gets about 5-10 dollars of those 60 dollars and the rest of it goes to the developer. So this is why Xbox cant just give you the digital version for free. They would have nothing from you to give to the developers.

If they were to give you the digital version just for simply having the disc version there would be nothing stopping you from just selling the disc version then basically having a free game at that point.

Has nothing to do with loyalty at that point. It has everything to do with the developers wanting to get paid as the digital copy would be considered a second copy to your disc

I doubt you were able to just give people free copies of games though which is essentially what you are asking for at this point

Choices are limited right now, so I will have to wait until one is available.

The choice of not being able to play a game I own right now is Microsofts choice to not make this available even if you own the disc.

The choice to buy the series s whilst it was available and not the X, indeed that was my choice.

As for you, well you are about as helpful as a slug swimming in salt.

If Microsoft made the digital version available by you simply only having the disc version then there would be nothing stopping everyone from just borrowing a physical copy of a game from their friend, then getting the free digital copy of the game and then simply returning said game to their friend

This is why they would never do this. Everyone would just be getting free games left and right at that point.

This is a rabbit hole no retailer would want to go down

Game disc replacement program is to replace discs with a new discs it would be thru the publisher EA in this case not for digital codes

There are somethings digital exhange offers but those are rare and only ms did it for the halo 4 legendary editions
