on the official roblox website it says that either you use the gamertag, and in this case it is not a roblox account, or create an account, and this is a real account.

You can create your Roblox account, redeem your code than link it to your Xbox account, no issues. But do you already play Roblox on your console? You never created a Roblox account?

Thank you! I was able to log in to the Roblox page and then link my Roblox account with my Microsoft account.
