Roblox Account created through Xbox locked on PC, no way to set the email

My son created a Roblox account through his xbox and played with his roblox username.

We associated the xbox created account with his email, and he could play on xbox, PC and tablet - great.

One day this week the PC and tablet both were locked and required a pasword reset.

The xbox account still accesses the linked roblox account with no problem.

But roblox shows no record of an account associated with the email we have been using.

I am in the second round of support now, and I have ALL the receipts for our robux purchases under his gamertag through the microsoft payment history.

I guess I just do not understand:

1) Why the xbox does not allow you to associate/verify the email used for the roblox account?

2) Does the xbox use the xbox live email associated with the account when it generates the roblox account from the console?

3) Why would I still have access to the account through my xbox profile but not through the PC or tablet?

Sadly, the Roblox customer service is rather appalling and slow.

I was hoping someone here might have some experience or insight into the nuances of the account relationships so I can recover my sons account.

He dearly loves his roblox and has invested a good deal of his money into it.

This seems like it should be setup better to protect the investment of the children using these systems.

I am surprised xbox didn't enforce better account management mechanisms for a third party.

Unfortunately no, when creating a Roblox account you do not link an email.

You sign up with a unique username you chose when creating the account, not an email

You could then add a parent email to the account through the settings. That would be the way to recover it

Thank you. They (Xbox gamertag and Xbox created roblox gamertag ) have been linked through Xbox since 2020. I didn't have an issue with that part.

I'm trying to figure out is when I created the Roblox account (created through Xbox), is it a real roblox.com account? It seems like the Roblox.com doesn't recognize Xbox Roblox created accounts

Go on a PC or your phone to reset it. You can only reset it if you have a email connected to the account. If the Roblox account you made was created on Xbox, just re-link it and the data will still be there

Thanks, I am posting from my Microsoft/xbox account in question.

The problem is not with my Microsoft/Xbox account but the link to the roblox account that was automatically created years ago. Roblox require proof that I own the account and claim there is no email linked to the account and therefore can not help me.
