Risk freezing up when trying to play online

    Risk freezing up when trying to play online


    I tried playing Ubisoft's Risk online today and my xbox 360 keeps locking up on the main menu screen. I tried on a second xbox 360 something happened. However when I tried a different profile (on both 360s) no problems at all. I have tried deleting the
    game and downloading the game again and clearing the cache but these actions did not help. Any ideas what is happening. I have not played the game in months because every time I went to play a league match there was a jerk that I did not want to play against.
    so I would just leave. Thanks

    When exactly is Gears freezing for you? Does it always happen in the same place, or is it sporadic. Does it freeze simply when connected to LIVE or when you are trying to play an online mode?

    Can you clarify what you mean by freezing? Do you mean during game-play or when you trying to download the games? Is it freezing at the same point in each game? Are you playing online or just campaign mode?



    If you can reach back and let us know what you find so we can start troubleshooting from there.

    Hey there! So the game freezes up, but only when you try to play it online? Are all other games able to play online for you OK? If so, let's try something a little different- can you install the game to a USB and try playing it with the HDD removed entirely?

    And just to be clear, is the game freezing when you play it or when you try to download it?

    If it’s freezing while you’re playing it, I would probably try deleting and reinstalling the game to see if that works. If it’s freezing up during download, or still continues to freeze while you’re playing it, I will try to do a hard reset on the console,
    leave it unplugged after that for a few minutes, and then try it again
