Rise of the Tomb Raider - Xbox Exclusive.

MS have got the paper to do things like this sony & the rest will just have to accept it they cant compete on the money side.

 

At first I was disappointed to hear the game was an Xbox One exclusive but it looks like there will also be an Xbox 360 version and as others have already stated at some point we will probably see a PC or PS4 release.

I will not be purchasing an Xbox One however just to play this 'exclusive', I may pick up the 360 version or just wait until it is released on other platforms.

Like Mr Stu Fae said a few posts back, Microsoft have the £$£$£$£ to throw about so as some are reporting, I expect to see other announcements over the coming months.

 

I still find it funny how people completely disregard the fact Sony bought exclusive rights to TR after its initial release back in the 90s. But it seems like hating MS/Xbox is the cool thing to do these days so hey lets hate away.

Just goes to show whatever MS does is evil(TR exclusive) And Sony is always the good guys(Silent Hills, Hell Blade timed exclusives) No outcry over those games and Sony's moneyhatting ways.

@24, Silent hasn't even been announced as exclusive to anyone yet and seeing that Sony gave Ninja Theory their 'break' with Heavenly Sword it's no surprise that they release Hellblade first on PS4. TR though has been multi plat since PS2 and og Xbox days
and every game since then has been on Sony and MS machines, the backlash is warranted, though I personally think Crystal Dynamics/Square Enix are the bad guys here and not MS.

 

I really want to play No Man's Sky but Sony bought the rights for a timed exclusive for that one, not going to moan about it though because it's just how exclusives works.

People complained that MS was focusing too much on the media side of things, to me this proves they're serious about games as well.

 

Regardless if Sony gave NT their break its the exact same circumstances. I also like how disregarded the fact that Sony paid to keep TR off of Sega and Nintendo consoles after the first game. You do have a point about SH, and no information being available
if it is timed or a full exclusive. However Konami should tell fans of the game whats going on instead of stayimg mum. But again it proves my point that its okay to hate Xbox and cause an uproar over any and everything concerning the brand but when Sony does
the exact same stuff no one bats an eye.

If Sony had done this deal with Tomb Raider I bet most would have been praising it but it seems it is the 'thing' to do at the moment and jump on the "Lets bash Microsoft" bandwagon.

I guess Microsoft peed a lot of people off with the terrible PR before the launch of the XB1, DRM, no DRM, high price, Kinect etc etc and people just don't want to forget, not saying that's the whole reason but I bet it plays a big part and people take any
opportunity to jump all over them.

Some have short memories though, I mean it seems a lot of gamers think at the moment ( I'm not saying Microsoft are better ) the sun shines out of Sony's backside and they are in it just for the benefit of us, I remember in the past with the PS3, promises/claims
made, then a lot of these promises claims were broken.

What's done is done though, for me it's about the games, if a platform has a game I want then I will play it, sad thing is it seems a lot of fanboys spend more time arguing about "Which one is better" than actually playing the thing which says a lot right
there.

It's about the games. I just hope the Silent Hills is cross platform. I am hearing too much of several different versions so who knows at this point but it does look good and I like that saga.

 

m I got a question for everyone......I see on the ad on xbox live about tomb rider they are offering for xbox 360 and so I wanna pre order and the stores are taking pre order for xbox one...I don't understand why the official page said for both platform,,,,huuuuuummm...
